Yes, they had a fun, albeit ridiculous run against a bunch of lay-down pansie teams. But what does it get them? As Padre and others have mentioned before, they are screwed as far as FA goes next year. Per PK at nfl.com: http://www.nfl.com/news/story?id=09000d5d808736ba&template=with-video&confirm=true So no FA signings. They also only have 4 draft picks, and will be drafting at the 29th spot. This years draft order is hinged on playoff performance not record, so they are screwed big time there. And those 4 picks could go to three, if they pick up Lito Sheppards option(a 4th to Philly). But they probably won't. Nor do I think they will resign Braylon Edwards. I mean, I hope they do, I think he's a weak WR and will be way overpaid. So they will have a hole to fill at CB, probably Wr, among other spots, and will just have their 1,2,4,6 draft picks. I admit, they got hot. But all year long, the Jets were an average team. They pounded on easy teams, and were a 9-7 team at the end of the day. And did you hear Rex Ryan mention Kris Jenkins..."hoping he comes back, and buys into the system"? Uuhh, perhaps all is not too rosie on that front? I know Jenks has been annoyed and spoke out against his loud mouthed teammates on several occasions this year. We shall see, but you could color me SHOCKED, if they make the play-offs or win more than 9 games next year.
