3 nice wins vs teams without a passrush, without a deep passing game, and without a stud Tight End. In other words, teams which do not match up to take advantage of the Fins' weaknesses. Dallas can do all three.

So we see if we have really improved, or it was just mirage based on matchups....

When we slap Dallas by 20, you tell me. This team has more swagger right now then it has in a decade. Look at them on the field, forget the record.

"Forget what they call you, it's what you answer to that matters."

What about the teams with those problems that Miami lost too?

The Redskins have a pass rush with Brian Orakpo and Ryan Kerrigan. They also have a promising tight end in Fred Davis.

Maybe it is a "mirage" but instead of being bitter about it... enjoy it.

IF we beat Dallas by at least 20 I will start to believe.

KC has an excellent passrush. Sacked Brady last night 3 times.

What? The Chiefs have one of the best edge rushers in the game and the Redskins are one of the best rushing teams.

I think they've been playing better the last three games, but I think the caliber of opponent certainly helped. I frankly don't expect them to beat Dallas in Dallas.

The Chiefs had 9 whole sacks going into the Fins' game, IIRC. Just checked, the Skins were better than I had thought with 25.

Still, the overriding point is the same,we don't match up as well with Dallas.

Its not a matter of "was". It IS a mirage, but that doesn't mean that it doesnt serve as something to build off of. A team riding that confidence that finally believes in itself will perform much higher than one surrounded by doubt, confusion, and concern - all of which were present at the start of the season.

Thursday is going to be a very interesting game to watch...cant wait!

I think it's a nice run against three teams (two of which are bad) that hit mid-season slumps.

I was talking to Alen about the Chiefs-Chargers game the night it happened. I hadn't seen the game but I was openly wondering if the outcome meant the Chiefs were too good for us to beat, and Alen said that actually he wouldn't be surprised if based on what he saw the Chiefs laid an egg the next week because they didn't really deserve that win. Sure enough they do, and they've been laying eggs ever since. They lost to Denver and now New England, and will probably lose to Pittsburgh next week.

As soon as we beat KC, everyone immediately knew we'd beat Washington. Why? Because the clock had struck twelve on that Cinderella story about 4 games ago as they'd dropped 4 straight to the Eagles, Panthers, Bills and 49ers. Only one of them is a good team. And what do they do this week? Lose again, to the Chiefs.

The Bills dropped two straight prior to playing Miami, and does anyone think they are going to beat the Jets next week?

So you've got three wins against teams that are mired in 4 to 6 game losing streaks.

If anyone wants to know why I'm not all giddy about this win streak, that's why.

Romo will be key to the outcome of this game IMO. If we can put the kind of pressure on him we put on Fitzgerald, I think we have a chance. Need to knock him down a few times and get in to his head.
