so my walk to school is 5 miles x 3 days a week

for the first two weeks i walked all days, then last week i walked one day and got a rides on two days because of rain.

i walked one day today and am getting a ride today because it looks like rain and I don't want to be caught in it.

    we'll see how tomorrow goes.

also, my calves are a bit sore today..

but this has me upset because i want to walk but i don't want to get caught in the rain in the middle of a 5 mile walk...

basically what i want to know is it a good idea for me not to walk when my calves feel like jello? i'm not limping by any means but they are sore.

I see know one else responded so I'll take a stab at helping you. I'd maybe rest your legs a bit during these early on weeks. I'd say in a month, you should not have any issues walking with no rest period.

I would just have a contingency plan in place during the winter. There's gonna be a lot of days you can't or shouldn't walk.
