i don't have the luxary of copying and pasting links on my att go phone and no internet service at my house with nothing but secured wireless internet in my neighborhood, but i just read an espn article that stated that Wake had a league high 13 holding penalties and no one else in the league had more than 7. makes you wonder how many of those 13 would have been sacks.

Honestly, I think they need to spray his uniform down with some WD40 before the games.

p.s. on a totally unrelated subject, i was hoping that nobody would start any threads about the outcome of tomorrows pre season game because i will have to wait for the replay on nfl network. if anyone thinks this is an impossible hope of mine please let me know and i will stay away from this site until seeing the game. lol.

I think he should play without shirt.

That way he'll be harder to hold on to and DJ will have a hard on to hold.:tongue2:

Lol... Freakin dudes body is sick man..You should see his *** up close FInD..

There is a thread out there Rick that has some good stats in it, bottom line, there's legit evidence that he is the best pressure player in the game, and to me the stats don't lie in this case, just add should be holds to the equation, and the way he plays the run, and you have an elite football player at his position.

I'm pretty sure that number would be doubled if they actually flagged Nate Holder... I mean Solder.

I expect this year’s defense to be one of the best.

Wake should really take off this season with us having several other solid pass rushers on the DL; Odrick and the rookie from Miami Olivier(sp?), and putting Wake back on the DL should give him some serious sack numbers. Our LB corps will have to be good at covering TE's, glad to see Dansby come in to TC back at his old weight. He should be faster and better in TE coverage.

thanks for finding the article and posting the links because i literally cant even see what website i am on when i click on a link on my ******ed phone. i am just glad i am able to log into this forum on my phone. i can't wait to get internet back at my house but i am moving soon so that will happen when i get moved in to my new place.

anyway, i am so happy we gave Wake a chance after he didnt do great on his first NFL team (i forget what that team was) and after he was a star in the CFL. i am glad we were able to get him a new deal. he deserves every penny.

When blockers are protecting sweet Tammy Brady, they are allowed more leeway in holding.

In preseason the outcome as for win or loss isn't as important as studying individual players. JMO.

Hunter was flagged 11 times, 7th most among OTs in 2011. Solder and Light had 5 each, and Vollmer had 1.

I've posted my little chat with PFF about this and they were dismissive which imo was a flaw in their thinking.

Kracken has such a good jump off of the snap that Tackles will hold him but Vollmer literally tackling him was not flagged.

Think of it as the "patriot rules"

I really wish that QB pressures that lead to incompletions or INTs were a normal listed stat just as passes broken up are.

The refs have hopefully been made aware of players in this situation and to keep an extra eye out.

I can't believe the league is willing to go into the regular season with these fake refs. The officiating is bad enough with the regulars. The integrity of the game is going to take an even bigger hit IMO. What the league should be doing is working towards having full time refs, not getting into contract squabbles with the part time guys.

No reason the NFL can't hire full time employed refs.
