The NFL will announce this afternoon that the Minnesota Vikings will play the Green Bay Packers in the Monday night opener at 6 p.m. Sept. 8 on ESPN, according to the Minneapolis Star-Tribune.
Our View
The game is expected to be played at Lambeau Field and will be the first for the Packers in the post-Brett Favre era.

Looks like the Raiders will open on Monday night at home. This gives us some hope that Miami will get at least ONE primetime game this year:

Yea I know if it was not for Adrian Peterson this game would be boring and the only other thing going for this game is that Brett Fave wont be starting for the Packers
