Yea I decided on it over mass effect although getting mass effect soon I loved assassins creed. I think the people who gave it bad reviews where expecting to much. I knew how gameplay was going to be and likely somewhat monotonous and I loved the game. Very fluent movements you rarely see him snap to a ledge and I love that. Looking forward to a sequal.
Yes it does but I truly believe the next ones will be far less repetitive. Since all game teams have a time span which game has to be out this sequel they wont need to focus on the technical side of it in which they did a great job. They can focus more on gameplay and art direction so I would expect next ones to be far better.
I've been playing it like non-stop for a week now, I love it, but I do agree it gets a bit repetitive though.
This game looks really good. This is one of the games I am considering buying for the PS3 when I get it.
Nothing is better than butt seks..HOWEVER, Great story, great premise. Game was a blast, and I can't wait for the sequel. Loved the ancient past mixed in with the modern times. The play was a bit repetitive, but was still fun. For me lately, and the problem I have with some games, is that they drag on too long. When it takes 30+hours to buzz around and turn over every stone, I begin resenting games. This was perfect length. I got a baby, I'm lucky if I can sit and play an hour or two at a clip, once or twice a week. 5-10 hours is the perfect length for me, and this fell in there. You can spend time and do EVERYTHING, but you don't have to in Assasin's Creed...and I appreciate that. Great graphics, with minor glitches. Superb story, and fun...and not too hard. For me, video games are like playing a fun, long movie. I dont care for it to be ridiculously easy, but Im not looking to die 1,000 times and play over the same frustrating boards over and over. I basically like a moderate challenge that i can basically steamroll and enjoy the graphics, great stories and game-play that games today are producing. Thats why this game is awesome imo.
I dunno i guess I have played far more repetitive games so this one seemed ok. I couldnt only sit though one section of a town at a time (From the first view point to assassination I did everything in a section). I thoroughly enjoyed it thought very creative new IP and the sequel will hopefully be even better.
Wow, to each their own I guess. If you really go through the game and do all the side stuff I don't think its all that repetitive. Maybe its just that I've been looking forward to this game for so long but I love it. Definitely one of the best games of the year IMO.
I'm not big into this genre of gaming.....I'm a sports guy usually only. But I do like some of the higher action games. G.O.W, etc. It does look like a cool game, just not for me, is all.
Good game..just needed something more. What do I know though? I haven't bothered finishing Assassins or Mass Effect.
I am hoping to get it for christmas with the 80gig/motostorm ps3 that I have a hunch that I am getting.
I bought assassin's creed and thoroughly enjoy the game. It is somewhat repetitive but it's not too bad. I'm about to start the last mission soon. I'm almost sad that it will be over. The graphics in the game are amazing and the cities are very realistic and lifelike.
I've been playing this game for the last few weeks ... it's just incredible. The detail and depth to each of the major cities is a nice touch. It's one of the more original games I've played.
This game definitely gets a 9.5/10 from me. If you like Splinter Cell and games like that, IMO you'll love this game. Also, if you like riding on horses through pretty huge expanses and a medieval setting, you'll love this game. Oh BTW, the Graphics are awesome....
