..who will get him? My predictions. Cowboys, Pats, Colts, Broncos, Redskins. In other thoughts how funny would it be if he signed with the Browns, would the Dawg Pound boo him?
Funny my desire to see him never play in the league again has so much less to do with his criminal past as it does the media circus the magazine covers and the first TD he scored would be broadcast like the second coming. I hated the constant media handjob he received while he played now it would be media angry sex with him. No thank you.
Yea but it is inevitable....there are going to be countless interviews, specials, it will be topping off sportscenter, all the talk shows will spend 40% of their time on it. Ofcourse if Favre comes back the media will feel like its having a threesome with Jill Kelly and Tera Patrick.
I guess I'll have to get used to the taste of a little vomit in my mouth whenever I watch sports news.
I don't want him to go to the Pats man!! That would really upset me. It is something I can see Bellicheat doing though, moreso than those other teams mentioned.
Excellent posts, but you can't deny his natural ability. Put him in a Wildcat role, and you would be crapping bricks. You would be lying to yourselves if you think otherwise.
His natural ability was exciting, yes, but after all he's been through I doubt he'll regain his top form again. Even if he did, I couldn't bring myself to root for him.
I understand why some of you would not want him to come back, at very least. I am also a firm believer in second chances. I think that he will be suspended for the whole season, and he might be allowed back next season.
I agree with you, on 2nd chances, if it wasn't for them I'd be living in a van down by the river, and I know my opinion is driven by my fondness for animals, dogs in particular, but still, I hope he doesn't come back, and if he does I wish him nothing but the worst.
By no means am I even considering rooting for him. In fact, I rooted against him since he came in the league and was thought clean at the moment. I am just saying, he could be dangerouse in NE. He won't have to be in top form. He will be their version of Pat White. That is really something I see NE considering, especially considering how high they were on White prior to the draft. How can you NOT be worried with Vick taking snaps for NE? I don't see it.
I have faith that he'll be more of a distraction than contributor just like Randy Moss was......wait a minute, bad freaking example. Thanks Tone, now I am worried.
Let's see, he's a great QB.......No fricking way He would be a great RB, how many LB's has he ever tried to block, he'd crap his panties if he had to block Ray Lewis or Snuggs. He would make for a good WR, how many passes has he caught in his career? He can run, but so can a track star.
I think they need to stop bull Sh@@@@@ and reinstate him.He did his time and payed the price.I still hate him for what he did but i feel he had his punishment handed down to him. I think the teams that will want to talk are the following, Cowboys, Lions, Miami, Ravens
If you took the name "Vick" off his jersey and evaluated him, I think you would give him a little more credit than that. To be honest with you, if Pat White will turn out the way Vick did before he got arrested, we would all be enamored. Listen, I don't like the guy either, but a spade is a spade no matter how you look at it.
Just a quick question. If he was doing the same thing to say....roosters would you feel the same way? Or does the fact that its a dog make it unbearable?
I don't condone the abuse of any creature for the purpose of sport and/or spectacle. I am by no means a PETA extremist, but I do believe that just because it's an animal it isn't ours to abuse as we please.
Oh I agree. It's just my personal belief that if it were a "lesser" animal, most people wouldnt care as much. Which is why I asked you.
Like pigs or roosters or....even cats. I love cats myself but I dont think people in general would care as much.
It would certainly test my loyalty to Miami if they went the thug route and signed his over rated ***.
Maybe not all. But still, what's right is right and some things are just wrong. I eat meat, but I'd be pissed off if I saw a cow being abused, there's no reason for cruelty.
I agree with both statements. People do in fact deserve a second chance at some point. I also can see Vick's suspension continuing this entire season. And Goodell has a perfect set of reasons for going this route. Goodell has repeatedly remarked that he wants Vick to prove himself - something that will show he's remorseful and that he's changed. Completing a prison term doesn't show that. An additional year will give him the opportunity to do that. I think one thing that probably scares Goodell is the probably PR hit that the league would take at this time if he was reinstated.
People seem to forget his talent, remember the game against us and we said we would stop him from running ? guess what he through all game and killed us that way.the guy has talent but no heart or brains to do what he did.
ESPN just reported a conditional reinstatement of Michael Vick is expected in the next week. However, it is only conditional, and ESPN says that Goodell will allow Vick to take part in training camp but has not made a final decision on Vick's long-term future. Vick is expected to be drug tested monthly.
