In a terrible example of bureacracy going wrong, over 1,000 Veterans this month were mistakenly sent a notice that they had the fatal illness known as Lou Gehrig's Disease. The errant notice was sent out due to a data input error or coding error of some sort, according to the statement released by government health officials. Hopefully this didn't cause too much trauma for the veterans who got the false notice of their illness, I can imagine that must be stressful.
