Vegas odds makers expect the Dolphins to be mediocre. http://blogs.palmbeachpost.com/thed...as-oddsmakers-expect-dolphins-to-be-mediocre/ These freaks can't be serious? -Cobrajet
If you look at the rest of the lines. We would be fighting for the final playoff position with Cincy, but our 2 division rivals are only at an over/under of 9. Both of who finished with better records than us last year. Sounds about right to me. Personally I say, lets go make some money.
Yeah I dont think it is that bad 8-8 and a shot at the 6th seed, if this catch a break and play well, then we are looking at 9 or 10 wins.....I'll take that...
The Phins are a good team who got better. They have a young QB poised to breakout, an offense with the potential to be in the top-10 in the league, and one of the best defensive coaches in the NFL at DC. They also have a tough schedule, are undecided at both guard spots, have a starting RB who can't stay healthy, are glaringly young on defense, have no proven pass-rush, and look dangerously thin at FS... a very, very important position in a passing league. So... '8' as an over/under looks about right to me. I'd take the over, but I wouldn't bet big money on it. I'd put my big money on Oakland winning more than 6 games.
That isn't a low number really. I'd say there's just as much of a chance to win 10 games as there is to win 7 games. Just a few injuries could do that.
You mark my words, there is going to be a lot of surprises coming out of this bunch. Among them; are Ciny, Miami, Philly and probably Pittsburgh. I feel all should be ranked higher. The fact that New England is ranked higher (than Miami and NYJ) when they are a shell of a team is a joke in itself. 9.5 - New York Jets, New England, Green Bay, Minnesota 9 - Atlanta 8.5 - Miami, New York Giants, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, San Francisco, Tennessee 8 - Chicago, Cincinnati, Houston
I'll just let them play the games, and enjoy the Fins hurting a lot of bookies when we go 10-6 and deep into the playoffs. JMVHO
I already made my bet in Vegas for the Dolphins to go to the superbowl this year. The odd were 8/1. Not bad if you ask me, I dont think that is off at all
Vegas odds makers aren't interested in predicting the actual result. They're interested in finding where the betting money splits 50-50. . So don't blame the odds makers, blame the perception that the general public have about the 'phins.
