    because it's incredibly expensive....

    wind and solar are far better green technologies.

    How so? This captures otherwise-wasted kinetic energy. It also has a zero carbon footprint so that funds that would be used for carbon mitigation would be saved.

    Also, it produces water more cheaply than standard methods.

    That equates to $40,000 per million cubic meters of water for active coastlines. In government budgetary terms that's a drop in the bucket. Hawai'i comes to mind.

    Sounds interesting, the sooner the world gets away from fossil-fuels, the better it will be for all of us.
