Well the US Soccer team certainly put their team on the world map today. Beating Spain in the Semi's of the Confederations cup was definitely not a fluke as they took the tournament favourites right to the final whistle of the Final, only losing to Brazil 3-2, after being 2-0 up at half time

yup will be interesting to see their rankings in fifa. The really good thing about their victory is it was against most of the world cup team rosters. That is huge IMO.

thanks to VO for the sick ass sigs.

When do we stop with the Moral victories?

That loss today was enough to jump out a window. That was depressing.

beating number one spain is far from a moral victory imo.

Take heart you guys  You have beaten the best Europe can offer and nearly/should have beaten the best team going. That puts you the Second/third best team in the world for gods sake:lol:

The last world cup, in Germany, WD helped me w/soccer rules. I adored Rooney, but he screwed up in that last match. It's an inside joke

I agree with that. I think a change of strategy would have been in order, especially once they doubled the us's shots on goal

My Ex's brother played with Michael Bradley and under Michael Bradley (the current US head coach). Was thrilling to watch the game today. Moral victories are necessary too :)

I think that the fact that they were probably playing the best team in football it wasn't so bad. First half strategy was brilliant, second half maybe not so. But in Bradley you have found a leader for sure
