You asked me for a top 5-7 corner in football, a former #9 overall pick who is a solid starter and a 2nd rounder. That is why
The fact that rivers didnt really justify his #9 selection makes him less valuable then saying an average OLB last year. I mean hes decent but hes not a game changing player. So the fact that you want to sit here and publicly talk about offers why dont we talk about the fact that you thought Rivers and Andre Caldwell or Rivers and a 3rd was a fair offer? I mean its not quite like me asking for a 1st back for Tony Ugoh just cause he was picked there but where a player is picked doesnt indicate his current value is the point I am making. You said yourself that Wayne is a top 7 WR; i said top 5. So we arent that far off on his ranking. We are off on his value. You think Im dumping an elite player for a cap dump move and thats simply not happening.
You are completely under rating Rivers. He is a SOLB who plays the run well and holds his own in coverage. Not to mention is young, has only 385k in cap, and still a high ceiling for growth. Hall is a top 5 corner in the league, 7 at worst IMO, and his value alone is equal to Wayne. Especially after we just saw him dog it on a crucial play in the superbowl.
Hall's a top ten IMO. He likes to bite hard on the fakes and sometimes pays for it, similarly to Dominique Rogers-Cromartie.
IMO Any top ten list you're going to have disagreement once you get passed the first three or four spots. So it's all semantics. I agree with you though.
If you don't mind me asking, what specifically are you looking for in return for Wayne? Multiple high picks plus players?
ideally I need in no order: LT RT CB Olb So if I can fill one of those spots and get a pick with it that's pretty much what I'm looking for. The pick is negotiable based on the player.
Big props to all of my early trade partners thus far. All of you were super easy to deal with. I think we all made moves to make our individual teams better.
