You can now add Bess to the list of surprising heroes. Bess has persevered through long odds. Just 5-10, 190 pounds, he lacks prototypical NFL size, doesn’t offer much in the way top-end speed, and his college production was thought to be a function of playing in June Jones’ pass-happy offense in Hawaii.

Being he went to Hawaii, didn't he catch like 10,356 balls in his career there? I think he knows how to catch. I really like this kid, I usually don't offensive players, Id rather go for the ones that hit:shifty:, but this kid is a spark.

Bess has been very good for us. He knows how to get open and catches the ball well. I liked him at Hawaii. I thought that he lacked speed though, he just had the quickness. I actually thought that Jason Rivers was the better pro prospect but its the other way around as I don't even know if Rivers is on an NFL roster at the moment.

    WELKER. Sheesh!

Yes he can catch. I think there were NFL people that were wondering if he could make the transition. Yes he can.

Steve Smith of the Giants, I think he could. Steve Smith of the Panthers, I don't think he will.

You watching him right now? I highly doubt Bess ends up like him. Smith of Carolina is the best WR in the game IMO. I think Bess compares more to Smith of NYG due to the fact that they can find that soft spot and they move the chains.
