Miami - Pro Football Weekly You can now add Bess to the list of surprising heroes. Bess has persevered through long odds. Just 5-10, 190 pounds, he lacks prototypical NFL size, doesn’t offer much in the way top-end speed, and his college production was thought to be a function of playing in June Jones’ pass-happy offense in Hawaii.
Jeez, maybe we should just make a "Davone Bess Thread", this dude is suddenly wildly popular with the media..
It's cool, I was just messing... I just find it funny that there are a lot of articles about Bess after yesterdays game...
Being he went to Hawaii, didn't he catch like 10,356 balls in his career there? I think he knows how to catch. I really like this kid, I usually don't offensive players, Id rather go for the ones that hit, but this kid is a spark.
Bess has been very good for us. He knows how to get open and catches the ball well. I liked him at Hawaii. I thought that he lacked speed though, he just had the quickness. I actually thought that Jason Rivers was the better pro prospect but its the other way around as I don't even know if Rivers is on an NFL roster at the moment. WELKER. Sheesh!
Yes he can catch. I think there were NFL people that were wondering if he could make the transition. Yes he can.
You watching him right now? I highly doubt Bess ends up like him. Smith of Carolina is the best WR in the game IMO. I think Bess compares more to Smith of NYG due to the fact that they can find that soft spot and they move the chains.
Teams get impressive contributions from bench as playoffs loom Dolphins rookie WR Davone Bess, playing in place of Greg Camarillo, grabbed nine balls for 74 yards.
