http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.co...orenzo-booker-refused-to-pay-ufl-transfer-fe/ UFL has effectively shot itself in the foot as marginal NFLers who are between jobs have little to no reason to sign in the fledgling league if they are going to demand 3x their salaries from an NFL team that may like to sign them as a stopgap. As for LoBook, I thought he was one of maybe 3 bright spots in 2007 but Parcells and Ireland did not like him, I thought maybe he could catch on in philly as a back up to Westbrook but his all around game, things like blitz pickups, had not developed well enough for him to play. Add in, at FSU they did not use him on returns and his value back then was quite small, maybe his UFL time knocked some of the rough edges off, but either way the UFL holding him hostage for 150k when the idea for the league was to serve as a feeder to the NFL is not very wise.
The UF-fail is fail Who the hell charges their prospect employees a fee for looking to work for them?
Look at it this way, what business would subsidize a competitor? The NFL is not going to pay money to keep the UFL in business, and yet the UFL thinks they will? FWIW, I like the UFL, it makes sense to me and last season they provided 43 players to the NFL, but they are not being very smart about this. If anything, they should want it known that their guys are NFL quality at minor league baseball ticket prices.
