UFC runs this ****. I don't know exactly how many fights are on everybody's contracts, but there's a bunch of really nice heavyweights over there. Dana is claiming they'll run as two independent organizations. But you gotta believe that's a matter of contracts with Showtime, etc. http://www.bloodyelbow.com/2011/3/12/2046701/ufc-strikeforce-merge-look-whos-coming-to-the-ufc
Yeah, JG tweeted that it is a simple matter of contracts with Showtime, and then it will be a full scale merger. But what happens now? Womens Fighting? The HW tourney? Unification bout between velaquez and ubereem? Good stuff. On a side now, another nugget for JG on twitter : Viacom now owns MMA.
Now, of course there is a possibility of a union forming, because MMA is just one big corporation, which might or might not be good.
Fedor and M1 claim that their contract is with Showtime. This would be bigger news if Fedor wasn't coming off of back to back loses. http://mmaweekly.com/m-1-global-sta...showtime-zuffa-purchase-has-no-effect-on-them
