Moles" tell the New York Daily News that the Jets remain interested in free agent Ty Law. A TV report in late April had the Patriots closing in on a deal with the 34-year-old, but nothing came of it. The Jets could be looking at Law as a free safety. He would compete there with Abram Elam and Eric Smith. Source: New York Daily News http://www.rotoworld.com/content/home_NFL.aspx
They should have just kept Eric Coleman who they let go to the falcons. He was a good player for them.
I think Ty Law should just retire, but I wouldn't mind seeing him go to the Jets just becuase he's old and I think our WR's could take advantage of him.
Eh, I have to kindly disagree here. Coleman played very well his rookie season but showed up less and less as the next three years played out. I'm very happy with Abram Elam and think he's the perfect complement to Rhodes. Kerry is a ballhawk who likes to roam deep or come up and pressure the Quarterback while Elam is a hard hitting, run stuffer. I also think that either the Jets or Pats, whoever signs him, will see if he can play Corner before having to switch him to Safety. Both teams need a #2 to emerge at Corner, but both could use competiton at FS.
