DTrain moving the wrong way down the tracks, odd that DMart almost signed with the Ravens, and I look for Richie I to begin to receive snaps at Center.

Omark sticking to his guns that Misi has looked plain in Camp.

I agree, especially since they drafted Dickson and Pitta. Unless they don't think Heap will return and were covering their bases with another vet. I think his odds of contributing and even making the team were considerably higher in Miami.

That's okay. All I want is 'plain' out of the SOLB position. I'm hoping Misi does a solid job, sets the edge, is close in coverage, doesn't make too many mental mistakes or misses many tackles. Any 'special' (sacks, INTs or other big plays) we get there this season will be gravy.

the most unsung guy on the Defense, KL had as many pressures as Taylor, and more than Porter, he just does his job week in and week out.

Not thrilled with that information, if JJ is the starting LG, and Charles Grant was eating his lunch, that could turn out rather poorly once the season begins.

I like C Grant but my goodness, 2 sacks in a handful of plays is not a great vista for the Rook.

Ikaika Francis will be the starting SOLB sooner or later Rafi.

Bold prediction for a fmr DT on my part, but imho that is how Sparano thinks, bigger is better..always.

Cam Cameron probably threw him a bone before the draft....what made it fall through was probably the fact they drafted a couple TE's and he wasn't ready to even work out yet. Just my theory.

i was just on a ravens board and one of the posters said the ravens might be looking for a CB in a trade. He read it in the Baltimore Sun but I cant find the article. They have LBs, WRs, DL or TEs that they could conceivably move. Wonder if we would be interested in moving Jason or Will Allen for one of the positions mentioned above

I think Langford is poised for a potential breakout year much like Starks was last year. I think all three probably starters on the DL (Langford, Starks and Odrick) have pro bowl potential. Odrick's potential is probably not pro bowl this season, but down the line.

I think the G positions will come down to who is best in pass pro. I think Jerry and Thomas can be dominant run blockers, but they make too many errors in pass pro. It would be best for us if one of those guys improves enough in that area to snag a starting spot, b/c Berger and Garner are just so versatile that I would love to have them as starter quality back-ups.

Maybe, depending on Misi, but then Misi will just back him up. I don't see Misi displacing a Will in that circumstance. We don't want 'plain' at the Will.

Well, we play them, so once again a trade would be as doubtful as Penny to the Vikes.

We play the Titans as well, so who knows though?

I see Misi as the Will on most downs, then shuffling around the defense depending on what Nolan wants to do, keep in mind Rafi in Denver they had several players with 300 snaps at Lb, he really likes to mix and match personnel based on what weaknesses he thinks he can exploit.

Put him at WILL doesn't maximize his talents in this scheme.

Odd that RW would tweet that, I wonder if a particular player is being ridden hard by "us" fans at the practices?

The really odd thing is, no player has just stunk up the place afaik.

I think that this team has few players receiving a ton of irrational hate, other than Crowder, if Killer is there or White, if KB is there.

I could see the fans getting on Turner a bit. But really I think RW is just talking about being positive in general terms.

They are practicing, that is where you want to see them make the mistakes.

don't understand the booing at all, if that is indeed happening. The questions on the other hand? Didn't know Ricky had Superman ears? Wish I could make it there some day to see what all the fuss is about...

Sooner or later, Richie Incognito will get reps at Center, he started at Center for a season in St Louis in 06 and 08.

Odd thing about Richie Incognito, his Wonderlic number was higher than his bench press number, and he ran a 4.84 40 back in the day.

It definitely happens. Just the other week the fans got on Roy Williams after a drop following that hazing media flap. I used to see it all the time when I would go to Dolphin camp and other camps. Sometimes fan sentiment just goes against certain players, whether it's reasonable or not.

I think it spells more trouble for Jason Allen, to be honest.

I just can't see the Dolphins -- or any team for that matter -- going all youth at that position. You can't. You've got to have a steady vet in the mix. Just like you need a vet at WR (or any position for that matter). Heaven forbid we lose a starter, I think you want Will Allen there rather than Nolan Carroll or Jason Allen right now.

If Carroll and Nate Ness continue to impress, I think Jason is the odd man out. Those are even younger guys with upside. I think they'd try and trade Jason.

Right now (early) I think there's a really strong possibility of V. Davis / S. Smith / W. Allen / Carroll / Ness. Ness is still getting time at corner and safety, though I'm not sure what ratio (supposedly he was going to be a corner this year). So he could possibly give you position flexibility when you're deciding on your gameday 45.

I think Misi would probably move inside in that case. I'm talking down the road, not right now. If he's still became a pretty good player, they would probably want to keep him on the field, no?

Either we've got one hell of a defense or Sparano needs to settle on an O-line rotation stat!
