Interesting, they both were watching Olinemen on Monday, now a new one is here.

I'd bet Tuna wants Wolf's input before they untie the Wr Gordian Knot.

For now, once Dobbins comes back one of those two, Spitler or Folsom are not going to remain on the Island.

The Anderson Ikaika pairing is interesting, that also means Q and Walden are the #3's?

Where does that leave Chris McCoy?

That would be great, and cement "the black visored demon" as the Dolphins all time leading rusher.

This surprised me little. I honestly think Ricky Williams has more of a chance of being on our team next year than Ronnie Brown. As much as I love Ronnie, if you told me one of them wouldn't be here, my money would be on him.

I told you Grice-Mullen wasn't all that impressive.

Grice-Mullen, Tsoumpas, and Sheets are all gone. So much for sleepers this year.

He's got to be mid 30's by now (born in 1976) and tore his triceps in 09.

You overlook Ikaika Alama Francis Des..he is the tiny picture in the left of my sigpic. He won Sparano Island for the longshot players.

Surprising, he was a high draft pick as well, I'd guess after this long in Training Camp Coaches are making decisions and shopping players who they do not like.

If he is healthy and ready to play, which G does the ax fall on?

    Proctor? Thomas?

I honestly didn't consider IAF to be as long a shot as most people did. He had a better chance of making the team than Sheets, RGM, etc. There's less of a numbers game at SOLB than at RB and WR.

    Procter.

I'm pulling hard for Nolan Carroll to win that returner job, especially once Will Allen returns and leaves Carroll with a lighter workload.

I still think Brian Hartline ends up returning punts for us. Carroll is almost certain to be KR I think.

Feinga is just a camp body, by bringing in Randy Thomas, if he is 100%, imho what they are saying is someone else will be waived.

So they reached back and picked up an Ex Tuna guy and he'll be the backup G as he is ready to play with no additional coaching needed.

    Basically they are simplfying things.

Wouldn't that be Feigna though? Sorry not following ...

I think with Garner's injury this is bringing in a veteran that could fill in , start for several games if needed , and be insurance till Garner is back... no?

Then you're not reading the right material. He's put in some work on returns.

They will chose the best back up option then from Thomas , Procter and Thomas? I do agree with Mr. Clean , when he said if Miami really means they will start the best 5 OLineman , then Grove and Berger are starting .

I have read kick returns. For punts I generally read T. Johnson, Bess and Pruitt

Well, another thing to keep in mind is John Jerry's "knee swelling", they know more than we do, speculation but Thomas is also a hedge against Jerry's knee growing worse.

I was mostly seeing if I missed something about him working on punt returns.

You replied to Padre's post about D. Bess being a punt returner about Carroll winning the returner job.

Basically I was wondering if he has practiced punt returner, since punt returner and kick off returner are two different beasts.

That is something I've watched DDpree, and Carroll has had some reps as Punt Returner, not many, he has worked mostly on Kick Offs.

DBess was just not good as a punt returner last season and I'd like to see more production out of that phase of the game so I've paid attention to it.

For whatever reason "returns" generally means "kick off returns", Punt Returns are always called punt returns..I do not know why the NFL does that though.

    Some good stuff:

Thomas at LG already, he'll have some run Saturday night to show what he has.

And Wallace is doing what a UDFA has to do, make plays each day every day.

Once Tuesday is over, that is when they will be switching twos, and threes the most. For a couple of days. They want to be set with their starters so they can make up a game plan for the 3rd game but the depth, if still somewhat undecided will still get some really hard looks....

I said "return job," meaning either/or. Basically, I'm taking an "anyone but Bess and Cobbs" stance. If that means Carroll has to do both, then that's fine with me, as long as he doesn't pull a Chris Williams.

Interesting that they have kept Tristan Davis around, he has practice squad eligibility and I'd suspect they'd stash him as insurance for Ricky and Ronnie.

Sean Smith playing man free coverage...nice.

And that is why you bring him in now, if they like him 3 weeks is enough time to get into decent shape for an athlete.

Odd how they are bringing Vet depth this yr:

    D Martin
    R Thomas
    C Grant

And yesterday Jerry's knee swelled up.
