http://www.sun-sentinel.com/sports/miami-dolphins/sfl-dolphins-training-camp-s080409,0,6595144.story The past few days we've been hereing about Channing making a few sacks, hopefully he can be that kind of playmaker for us. I think perfecting the 2 minute drill comes with experience, it seems he is doing fine every other area except that. Here's more from Omar and 'Mando
If Crowder could break out this season, what an incredible boost that would give us on D. If we have Porter, JT, Cam Wake, Matt Roth, AND Crowder getting pressure. There is no way the opposing QB has time to throw, nor will his receivers have time to get open. Add Bell & Wilson blitzing and Ferguson/Soliai collapsing the pocket, and we have one serious tough defense. And all this would help relieve pressure from what could be a young and inexperienced set of CB's other than Will Allen, in our 3 CB packages.
Here's one we did, based on Edgar Thompson's notes. http://www.thephins.com/2009/08/13/pass-rush-highlights-thursday-practice/
Here you go: I must say that Crowder and especially Charlie Anderson are surprising the hell out of me so far. And I like it. Sounds like Henne and White traded positions for the day. Donald Thomas wants your job, Murphy. Wow, what the hell is happening to Carpenter? He as absolutely solid last year and now he's **** the bed? That's sad, he was very important to our success last season. At least we're preparing for the worst by bringing in Barth, who's doing very well so far.
According to Edgar, Carpenter has admitted that he's over-thinking. It's all mental. If he doesn't watch out, he'll be outta here.
