Peyton Manning and Deangelo Williams for Adrian Peterson and Kyle Orton. Current Qbs: Peyton Manning Phillip Rivers Matt Schaub Current Rbs: Ricky Williams Selvin Young Larry Johnson Deangelo Williams I think I will be ok at Qb without Manning. Have been worried since draft day about my Rbs. They are very boom or bust types. Feel Peterson could really shore up that group. So is this a nobrainer or just say noway??
I wouldn't do it. Though I agree you'd be ok w/o Manning, I don't trust AP enough to stay healthy. That's just based on my gut and the fact that AP was injured in 2007, 2006, 2005 and I believe multiple seasons while in HS (1999-2003). If you believe he'll stay healthy than yes it's a good trade.
I duno how reliable Peterson is. When hes on hes amazing, when hes not hes terrible. I had him last year and it was either a huge game for him or one that sunk me that week. If you like him then I would do it bc you have good depth at QB without Manning. Maybe try to get another player in the trade that you would actually start instead of Orton also. No point in accuiring him.
His injury history is the mainthing that has kept me from pulling the trigger thus far. Looking at his and Mannings point totals from last year im leaning away from the trade. But I still have a day to decide. Going to try and get him to throw in another player maybe make it worth it.
Manning for Peterson straight up should be good enough. There is no reason at all to include additional RB depth.
Don't do it. Peterson is up and down, and DeAngelo Williams will be more than serviceable this season. If you must trade Manning, do it for someone like Brian Westbrook.
