Well, today's 2nd day in the Pyrenees was epic. Such a shame that it came down to a mechanical error by Andy Schleck as it appeared to me that he made his move and was pulling away from Alberto Contador only to have his move derailed by the chain. This battle between Schleck and Contador has been quite something. Andy vows revenge tomorrow and I hope he gets it. Contador now has the yellow jersey by what 8 seconds because of the mechanical failure and because he made a counter move while Andy was struggling to put the chain back on himself. What say you? Contador was booed for the most part when he put on the yellow jersey after the race. Schleck said he wouldn't have raced like that. It was a classless move IMO by Contador who hasn't shown the same form he had last year when he dominated. I'm rooting for Andy Schleck. He's been the better rider up the mountains. But if it comes down to that time trial, Contador should win it. Schleck needs to gain as much time as he can in the next two days.
Good end to a great tour... Cavendish is just on a different planet when it comes to a sprint... BTW, Versus needs to change back to this music. [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IZD3gXpbZwQ&feature=related"]YouTube- Versus Tour de France Open - 2007-2009[/ame]
I used to enjoy the Tour de France, especially when Greg LeMond staged that incredible comeback to win in the final stage, but after the issues with Floyd Landis it sort of lost it's flavor for me. Congrats to Contador though.
I've only recently really gotten into (last two years)... used to watch it way back when, Lemond when it was on CBS, only on the weekends.
