I think Titans got a real steal with Crumpler. He gives them a legit Pro-Bowl caliber TE, the kind of TE's that can really ease the progression of a young QB.
Smiley was definitely a solid signing that will help with the maturity of Long and Satele. If the Jets lost out on the Alan Faneca sweepstakes most of us over at JetNation.com were hoping for Smiley to be the Front Office's #2 option. Good to see Pace and Faneca were 4 and 6, respectively.
I think Bernard Berrian's importance to the Vikes is slightly over-exaggerated. If Stallworth can stay healthy for Cleveland they could legitimately have an elite offense.
Nice read, thanks Anthony. Smiley is my fav FA signing for exactly the reasons pointed out in the article. Finally we address the OL, maybe now we can win some games!
Us signing Wilford wasnt a bad idea at all either. We needed a big possession reciever opposite Ginn that can go up and battle for the ball.
I agree, thats insane, maybe if he wasnt given one of the richest linebacker contracts ever, he would be worthy of 4, but due to the fact the Jets overpaid for him, I would put him well behind Faneca and Smith... I dont know about Stallworth either. Dont get me wrong, I like Pace and wanted him here, but not for what the Jets gave him. Their FO must have done some heavy drinking and drugs too when they gave Woody 5 years and 25 mil. I love that signing from a Dolphins standpoint
