Kind of saw this one coming ... with that, the saga of the X-Files comes to a close. Fox is going to have to count on the DVD sales.
I am sure it will still turn a profit when all is said and done. Between US and foreign sales. It totally came out at the wrong time with the juggernaut out there right now
I wonder if Comic-Con had an impact in ticket sales. A hundred thousand could've added a few million to that tally. I didn't get a chance to see it but I probably will eventually. Essentially, Dark Knight pretty much stole The X-Files target audiences.
I think if they would have opened at the same time The Dark Knight would have still beat the X-Files. People have been waiting for this movie for a long time. You can't wait 10 years between movies like that and not expect some kind of a downfall. I'm sure the X-files movie is good, just not that many waiting to see it.
I'd love to see TDK take down titanic. BTW, x-files sucks balls. That's Mama mia thrashed it's sorry ***.
