worth the watch.... http://www.nfl.com/videos?videoId=09000d5d801f9781 http://www.nfl.com/videos?videoId=09000d5d8012ef48
Stupid NFL videos don't work on my computer. I'm assumping the ranking has something to do with Marino's famous shuffle step in the pocket?
as I'm slowly scrolling down the article, I'm yelling "where's Fran?" and sure enough there he is anchored at the base, exactly where he SHOULD be! As a sidenote, Staubach was drafted older and later than Beck and had an even less distinguished 1st )and 2nd) year. If Beck can even vaguely follow in Roger's footsteps, we'll have a hell of a QB!
yes, they discuss it too a little, speak of Danny's ability to split upraised arms and the importance of his feet.. which is where Danny says it all comes from. Both video's are worth watching bro, come back to them when you get home. Man, the memories that rush over you watching Danny working the pocket.
I hear that. Can't wait to watch him on NFL network tonight. I still have dreams occasionally that he comes out of retirement to be Miami's QB once again. Then I wake up and cry...
Well, of course, Dan treats pets with kindness and respect. If there was a top 10 list of immobile QB's, there'd be at least 4 Parcells QB's on it.
Those videos give me the chills. And as Maddog said.........what a joy it has been to watch THAT man play football. WOW
Watch the second video carefully, and enjoy it while it lasts, because we will not see that kind of football again in Miami for a long, long time.
He wasnt a RB disguised as a QB. He was a QB who could feel the pressure like all of the great ones could and step aside when he had to buy time . Certainly one of the most underated qualities of our HOF QB. It didnt hurt that defenses respected his release time and keyed on stopping the pass rather than rushing him.
If we are talking about pure running Quarterbacks, I think that Vick is the most talented that I have ever seen. I can't say about some of these others because I never saw them actually play despite being familiar with their names. Glad to see your confident.
Marino was more of a mobile pocket Quarterback than an overall mobile Quarterback. He will definitely never be compared to the likes of Randall Cunningham or Michael Vick.
I know he could move well in the pocket but he wasnt the most mobile QB out there. But a great QB is a great QB.
