I haven't been there for a shuttle takeoff since like 92, so when a friend suggested we take our families to see yesterday's launch, I decided to do it. Had a great time and my son especially thought it was incredible. Of course, it did take us two and a half hours to get from Titusville back to Orlando because of the traffic... Pics aren't the best in the world, but best I could do from 10 miles away.
The shuttle launch is awesome and never gets old imo. No matter the age, it is still pretty awesome to watch it go up. I know what you mean when you say traffic made you stay on the road for a couple hours, its such a pain. Glad to hear that they enjoyed it though. The sixth picture down looks like a HUGE funnel cloud lol. Thanks for the pictures.
Great pictures bro. I lived in T'ville and saw dozens of launches. You never get tired of seeing something that big, propelled into space.
Cool pics. I know they land out here in Ca some times when the weather is bad in FL, but I have yet to see a launch, or a landing for that matter.
