He went into a just completed diversion plan for a domestic dust up this Feb. No real word on Odie's health, we sure could use him.

Yeah, my guess would be that a) the legal end of this is completed (the trial, the settlement, etc) and b) he has exhausted appeals....It almost has to be related to the domestic violence charges he faced earlier this year... In the league's defense, there is a legal issue unresolved with Edwards...watch and see what happens after the trial and then whether it violates his parole from a previous incident...then the league will take action... What, to me, is the issue with Edwards is his continued issue after issue...not all have been drunk driving, but the guy based on his statements to the press after this latest problem, obviously doesn't get it yet... On a related note, is Ronnie in for the same type of punishment ?? Although his trial is completed and he's finished the pre and post trial requirements...??
I don't think Ronnie will have any problems seeing as this was his first time ever in trouble. The dude has been a saint his whole career. I would expect the league to make him do some sort of program or something along those lines.
Why didn't the team suspend McDaniel before the league did, as many fans were demanding the Jets suspend Edwards before an NFL judgement comes in? I get that DUI and domestic violence are different situations, but the Dolphins haven't benched any of their recently arrested players, so it seems somewhat hypocritical on the part of many Dolphin fans.
I'll give you one guess as to why Dolphin fans wanted him benched and it had nothing to do with it being the "right thing to do". But I don't blame them.
Ryan Baker is in the mix, I like him and like his motor. We ran 4-3 a lot vs the Jets and we need another body. Maybe Humpty Geathers?
