Strike another coach from Miami It appears that Tennessee Titans owner Bud Adams has finally come to the realization that his coach, Jeff Fisher, and his quarterback, Vince Young, simply can’t coexist. And in a surprisingly sensible decision, Adams has decided to go with Fisher. Jim Wyatt of the Tennessean reports that Adams has made the decision that the team is moving on without Young, and he won’t be on the roster in 2011. Sources tell Wyatt the Titans plan to either release or trade Young. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/category/rumor-mill/ Hopefully by April we'll know who our coach is
Jeff Fisher staying in TENN, Vince Young will not be back It's all over Twitter (Schefter, La Canfora, etc.). Basically, Jeff Fisher has won the battle and won't be going anywhere. Which means that's one less option for Stephen Ross. EDIT: http://twitter.com/#!/JasonLaCanfora/status/22802284656201729
Well hopefully with Fisher and possibly Harbaugh out of the picture, Ross will wisen up and just give Cowher what he wants.
Well, Titans pick Top 10 this yr, there is one less Qb on the market in this draft. As for VY the player, way to erratic.
I'm moving on and assuming Tony Sparano will be the HC of the Dolphins in 2011. So who we going to get as OC?
I look forward to three years from now when I read the "fire Cowher" and the "Cowher ruined the franchise" thread.
I hope McDaniels. Of not maybe Ramsdell from STL. If Garrett isn't retained for some reason, get him.
This is why I feel we should just let Sparano go. I still like Sparano but to have him twist in the wind like this will be bad if he's retained. How could anyone respect him when they know he's only there because we couldn't get anyone better?
well with the lockout looming, I would just announce Sparano is the coach. Last thing you want is some B choice coach trying to install a new system and not being able to have the players practice until June. Do we really want John Fox as the new coach?
Fisher has said some good things about Henne publicly before each game we have played them so it would not be a surprise, trade Henne, re-sign his older version Kerry Collins and the titans would have some form of plan to deal with the post Vince Young era.
Sparano shouldn't approach it like that, because his replacement could possibly already be here (Nolan) and he hired him with good results.
I am in favor of anything that gets David Lee in a different position, he is ruining Chad Henne. If the Dolphins were smart they would replace David Lee with Pennington at QB coach.
