Thought I'd make a thread for those that want to talk about the game tonight. Would love to see the Chargers lose tonight and officially get them out of this thing. Also always nice to watch one of the G.O.A.T as well in Peyton.
Yeah, we should be rooting for the Chargers, actually. If they end up 9-7, and so do us and Baltimore then we get into the playoffs based on tie-breakers.
Last TNF game of the year. Man, it's amazing how fast football season goes. Seems shorter and shorter every year.
This football season has flown by. The Dolphins have been extremely entertaining this year and that makes it go by even quicker. Regardless of what happens these last three games, I think we are an improving team with an up arrow. Lets hope they keep pushing though!!!
damn i didnt know that. For awhile I was of the opinion TNF needs to go away altogether, but today i got a nice feeling knowing there was a decent game on tonight. I may have changed my mind on this. I was a little surprised to see Brown returning kickoffs myself. Good one so far. Enjoy.
Sad to see him fall so far when he had potential when we drafted him. Yeap, good thing we didn't pick him when few people wanted us to take a chance on him. -Sent from my TMO Samsung Galaxy Note 3 using Tapatalk
That's assuming we win out as well....no? Pretty sure we're better off if SD losses. We're all chasing the same spot (#6 seed).
Even though that was a 3 and out. Sherman should take note and call for a play pass the first down marker on 3rd in the future. -Sent from my TMO Samsung Galaxy Note 3 using Tapatalk
Funny thing because ESPN's coverage of MNF has completely turned me off to it, and in its place, TNF. NFL Network's coverage makes all the difference. Really makes MNF feel like a throwaway game to close the week.
Depends on the loss the Ravens get no? If they lose to Lions but win the next 2 and go 9-7, their conference record is the same as ours and they win from head to head
Personally, I won't be too elated sneaking in at 9-7 if we aren't on a big streak. Only way I feel we will get in and have any kind of chance is to be 10-6 - therefore on a roll of victories. Of course, I'm also a bit bias against Manning getting the TD record so I want Denver to stop scoring the rest of the year! (even though I think a great argument can be made that Manning is right there with Johnny Unitas as one of the two greatest QBs of all-time).
I'd much rather let Manning hold the record over Brady. Though Manning only need 4 more TD's to break the record so its hard to imagine he doesn't get it.
If I understand this correctly, we can lose and potentially hold the sixth spot or potentially win and not hold the sixth spot. This is all ridiculous.
You may be right. I've heard we would win a 3-way tie breaker from a lot of different people though. We just have to keep winning.
Baltimore would have to lose to one AFC opponent (New England OR Cincinnati) to finish 9-7 and we would obviously have to finish 9-7 as well. If Baltimore were to lose to Detroit but defeat New England and Cincinnati, we wouldn't get in.
I think this is a good win by the Chargers for our 9 and 7 playoff chances (if we lose one of our last three). We still need the Ravens to lose at least one game no matter what. If that loss comes against the Lions, we still need to win out. However they could beat Detroit and lose to Cincy (or NE in week 16) and we still get in at 9 and 7. The SD win gives us more options... I think.
