I'll settle for good right now. Greatness happens in the playoffs. But it sure looks like we are heading there! That sounds about right. It's certainly before I got married and had kids I need to start an official Don Jones apology thread. His play has been massive on special teams. The turnover was so critical. not gay.. and even if it was, nothing wrong with that either That's so awesome... damn she's tall... Are you missing eggs? possibly... I just wish he could play like that for four quarters.
If the groin was really that much of a concern would they really still have him running decoy Go routes all game?
No. I'll fry them up later when I eat the beans. You don't slow cook eggs in a crock pot silly. I think Mrs Grimes is standing on her seat Pauly. She ain't that tall. Also, the camera angle.
Dion Sims' first catch of his career. A game winner with under a minute to go and he catches it with one arm. Smooth!
Sadly I was remiss in recording the exact details of each offensive play we ran. I'm simply saying that it seemed very clear that Mike Wallace was not a focal point of our offensive game plan this week, groin injury or not. And I find it to particularly interesting because its the second time that its happened in 3 games.
He's got alot of confidence, and a short memory, that's for sure. Got to love it! When he gets more experience, and the game slows down even more for him, and if we get him some more time in the pocket... he's going to be so damn deadly back there. We've got a great team building here, loving it!
They finally understood at the end of the game that you have to run up the gut and not off the edges with this team.
Did you ever think that maybe... him running those "decoy" routes as you like to call them... maybe that was part of the game plan since it directs coverage elsewhere, leaving other guys open? He's being doubled on almost every play, Tannehill isn't going to force it in there when there's someone else in single coverage getting open, and making a play. You dont throw Wallace the ball just because... especially if he's doubled and someone else is open.
This game showed off why we re-sign Soliai in the offseason and let Starks walk. Odrick does Starks job just as well, but Starks can't do Soliai's job.
What you did do though was list 3 things as being the only possible reasons why Tannehill isn't going to Wallace more. I was merely suggesting there could be other reasons.
Let this sink in. We have a better record then: Super Bowl Champs Baltimore Ravens, Super Bowl runner up 49ers, The Green Bay Packers, and the Houston Texans. 14* out of the 16 playoff teams *Denver has yet to play
I'm seriously the only one who thinks its weird that Mike Wallace combined for 3 catches in 2 games against CLE and ATL? Our most serious game plan is to AVOID giving our best offensive weapon the ball?
Hey...and...for what its worth....Indy *****slapped the 9ers..... We are 3-0....and we who would thunk wed be lookin like this kind of team with how hard our opening schedule was
Wow just wow, I thought you get paid to double check your work before you post it for others to see, oh well, we won so espn and si can suck it.
Don't get me wrong. I'm really glad we're 3-0. I'm just left scratching my head, wondering why we always have such a hard time getting our best players consistently involved on offense.
Its working isnt it? Look, i'd rather see the ball in his hands too, with the cushion Samuel was giving him today, I thought we had chances to take advantage of coverage underneath, but... it is what it is. What we're doing, is working. What does it matter at this point? He had 9 catches against Indy when we needed him as a bigger part of the gameplan, that worked too. That's why coaches get paid. That's why they're coaches, and we're fans. Looks like their game plans are working ok to me at this point. That's what you're missing, he is involved. It's showing up on the stats sheet, just not beside his name, but others.
Funny how you confidently now say Ireland's team "is a very good team", but anyone who saw this team moving forward in the right direction under Ireland last year was annoyingly berated by you as if we were a bunch of blind homers off our rockers. [like in this lovely December quote below] you were saying? yeah, that's what I thought.
As someone who was at that game. . All I can say is wow. the energy in the stadium was unreal. What a game
I realize it may seem as if I'm nitpicking because we're 3-0, but its not like we're dominating teams and we're a lock for the playoffs. I just think other aspects of the team, and the amazing play of other players, is covering up an issue that seems minor simply because we're not 1-2. Its like we're throwing lipstick on the pig just because we're 3-0. All of our games have been very close, and I think its wrong to say everything is fine with the offense simply because of our record. Seems to me our record is much more a reflection of huge individual performances like we saw today from Don Jones and Denney. Or the fact that Sturgis is just drilling 50-yarders like they're chip shots. Or the fact that our defensive line in the Cleveland game was literally trying to murder Weeden. Or the fact that our corners can actually...gasp...catch the football now.
