Man.... I can tell u this. Besides Dan Marino....I think Chad Pennington is my favorite NFL player ever. EVER. Actually...if you put everything down....and look at the player from every perspective, he might be my favorite player ever. I hope he remains part of this organization for ever...no matter how he touches it, Chad Pennington will only impart greatness on this team. 2008 was the greatest non Super Bowl season in the history of our franchise in my opinion.
Friend lmeister3: beyond excellent & extremely timely as we enter into the critical 2010 season Henne has to get it done from the get go if not by game four, Pennington will be in command too much banter about injuries I believe the guy could start tomorrow & the conversation is more about stability @ QB no one wants a QB controversy going into the season having said that Pennington is the Franchise QB awaiting in the wings may he finish his playing career as a Dolphin then enter the Miami coaching cadre
The 3-dimension aspect of a pass was interesting. I really like how this guy thinks and hopefully he can pass it on to Henne and *wink* whomever he'll be coaching up in the future...
Pennington is the man. God forbid Henne goes down but if it does happen we're in GOOD hands. 11-5 with much less talent than the team has this year is no fluke.
I think: 1) the IceMan has been schooled by the best (Pennington) 2) has tremendous potential & an NFL arm combined w/an excellent pedigree in football 3) presents the best Miami promise since Marino 4) has the total package in offense @ his disposal 5) has been brought along very carefully (skillfully) w/great attention to detail w/no expense spared on his behalf 6) it is time for Henne to fish of cut bait. the rubber meets the road in 2010. no more excuses, he must emerge as the Franchise QB 7) my expectation is that we see Chad Henne takes control of the team in our first pre-season game. by game four he's on a roll or on the bench. because... Pennington has @ least another season or 2 to play QB before assuming a coaching position & it is all about winning in 2010
