The Miami Dolphins drafted a pair of elite cornerbacks who I believe will become starters as rookies.

Maybe not immediate starters. But both of the Dolphins' first-day picks proved they possess the athleticism, size and quickness needed to play at a high level in the NFL. It'll be interesting to see what they can do against more polished receivers than the rookies they faced during last weekend's minicamp.

Omar had a nice piece this morning, the youtubes of Erik Walden in college and Tearrious George in the CFL are worth watching.

T George is a smooth athlete, not as explosive as Wake but an interesting prospect nonetheless.

Wake was primarily used on the weakside, which makes me suspect he'll be called on to backup Joey Porter, and will likely enter the game on passing downs with Porter replacing Matt Roth on the strong side. Charlie Anderson held that role last season.

When asked about the "progress stopper" named Jason Taylor, the first name after Wake's Tony Sparano brought up for further investigation was college defensive end Erik Walden, a sixth-round pick whom they claimed late last season from the Chiefs, who claimed Walden after Dallas cut him coming out of camp. Walden was a special teams ace during his brief Dolphins tenure, and it appears the Trifecta is curious to see if his athleticism can help him become an effective pass rusher.
