Saw it tonight with the girlfriend. I'd say it wasn't too bad. I read some bad reviews online but overall it was better than I expected. There's a plenty of gore and special effects. I like that they opted for a "real" wolfman, rather some crappy CGI (though they did use it for transformation scenes). I also liked the fact that it felt like a true remake of the classic. Good movie. If I had to grade it, I'd give it a solid B.

Saw it yesterday and thought it was OK+. I wasn't really moved by any of it, but the transformation scenes were very good. The makeup was very good. The sound effects and acting were good. There was a lot of gorey things happening to people....if you like that kind of stuff, you won't be disappointed. Emily Blunt has lips that don't quit. I am not a big horror genre aficionado, but I don't think fans of the genre would be disappointed. Overall I'd give it a 7 out of 10. A technical/mechanical success, but not so much a dramatic success.

If you're a horrorhound like I am, it was spectacular.

They took the Wolfman and made him brutal, which it what a werewolf should be. Everything about the film clicked, from the sets to the Bram Stoker's Dracula-ish score.

    Two severed thumbs WAY up.
