    Chiefs just traded Jamaal Charles to GB for Ryan Grant and a sway of late picks... Now that Gish has his back (that he spent a first round pick on the year previously), will he stop being a satirical malcontent?

    Will I ever be satisfied? no. is any good gm? maybe. time for an evil laugh? yes. muahahaha.


    I never liked Grant or what he offers. I see running back in terms of what they can do. Backs that do it all are A-type backs. Backs that are quick and have good hands are B-type backs. Backs that can take a beating and move piles are C-type backs. I like all three types. A> B=C In my opinion. Grant is none of these. He is a tweener who wishes he were an A-type back. Charles is my B. Im still looking for an A or C.

    I think Gish got the better end IMO.


    Nice fair deal with the Chargers and 49ers.


    I have to say my deal to trade down looks like a good deal looking back on the Detroit Bengal trade. I guess it was a fair trade but Having 3 first round picks is better than 2. Though I'll reserve judgment until after the draft.

    yeah, if you grade out the points on the Olshansky trade, he's essentially giving me a high 2nd round pick, which was slightly higher than what Carolina offered for Spears. IMO, Spears > Olshansky... I'm happy... I even get Francis, two years removed from being a second round pick... I think he can give us some inside pass rush when we go nickel D... on to the next trade... :shifty:

    okay... I need to go off for a second... got something bothering me... I'm tired of GMs asking me or really anyone in these trade threads "What is the price of player x"... or "what do you want for player y"... To me, this shows a lack of self confidence in evaluating player talent. You are a GM, you are supposed to know what the value is of a player you are looking at. To me, said GM is worried that they are going to overpay for a player. I think when you make an offer instead of asking these questions you are stoking the creative fire of the GM you are in negotiations with. Get them thinking "wow, this player is worth a lot"... or perhaps he's not worth as much as you thought... either way, it cuts down on the needless banter that usually happens in negotiations.

    GM1: Hey bro, I'm interested in John Doe... what's your price?

    GM2: Hey... hmm.. hadn't thought about unloading him.. what are you offering?

    GM1: Well I asked first....

    GM2: Yeah but I'm the guy you are asking.. you should have a price in mind?

    GM1: Take a look at my team and let me know what interests you...

    GM2: oh okay...

    WHAT A WASTE OF TIME...

    We arent all "super GM" nerds dude. Alot of us are first yr players here. And honestly a good negotiator tests out his trade partner first to see what interests him before hand.

    But I really think that if you ask someone what the price tag is, they are going to tell you something that is higher than you had in mind... that's why, if you come with an offer, you might have more success... JMHO...

    dude, ILB is a ***** this year. I threw down 2.5 at andra davis, and it was money well spent. even as my #2, his value is great this year. he will have a great year in denver this season. ive always liked him.
