sure, but I will be without online access at that time most likely with prior committment. Also need Seahawks, falcons, chiefs, and Cards to be online to make traded picks correctly.

Guys, I feel bad, I dont want to hold you all up, I just cant make it as I stated as June is crazy busy for my business (17th, 18th and 19th I can squeeze or after the 26th and clear thru July).

This really bites...

I have had a blast building up Browns and turning them around, and really had this 2nd year draft set up with trades....will be bummed-out if its all auto picked for me. If that has to happen, just play on without me.

it seems that everybody is going to have to be able to get on in order for all the traded picks to be fulfilled correctly. and by the looks of it, it seems that it is near impossible for everybody to agree on a time. is there any way that the draft can just be started and then when it reaches a person that can't be on it be paused until he can and then it resumes. so then its paused againt for the next person that isn't on and then so on and so forth? otherwise we're gonna be here weeks just trying to agree on a date. talks of the 22nd, 26th, and 27th have already started and who knows how long after this it will be pushed. but i'm good either way i have all the patience in the world so don't worry bout me

SICK, any way to start a SLOW DRAFT with Commish starting and stopping the clock (60sec between picks) for actual owners and letting CPU auto pick, etc, and then simply reaching out to the Owner next on the clock (if they arent online). Eventually it could be that we have most of the Owners on and available, and perhaps we all just have to wait for one given owner to make a pick before it starts rolling again...but atleast we get it started and take it as far as possible till an Owner is M.I.A for a given period of time.

That way when "a team" is ON THE CLOCK (presuming a COMMISH is avail to log in and start and stop the CLOCK) they can also communicate with their TRADE PARTNERS to make sure the right guy is selected, etc.

Just seeing if we cant start the process now and actually get it started and finished faster then if we wait to get all owners available at same time? I know I am one of the ones you are waiting for...but better to only wait for me or others for 1 pick, then all picks?

I know last year picks were set at 15sec...but Starry was mentioninng in another league that it can be set to 60sec....that would simply give the COMMISH with the stop watch more time to click start and stop, etc.

This is lame. Last "season" it was decided the day OF that we were doing the draft. I had prior commitments, and ended up throwing together a quarter of a list. I TOTALLY understand that it sucks to miss a draft (if we don't do it before wednesday there's a good chance I miss it 2 years in a row) but threatening to take your ball and go home when there's a league of 20 people trying to coordinate schedules is pretty lame.

dude, call it what you want....I am in the league to build a team and have fun. The draft is part of that.

I still think, instead of any owner having to miss out, a solution exists to SLOW DRAFT and each owner can therefore find that little slice of time to make one pick till its their turn again. Several folks could even act as COMMISH if necessary to start and stop the clock if SICK couldnt make it, etc.

Just saying, the whole experience is what makes it fun, and AUTO PICK is not part of the fun.

I think Starry and others have tested and confirmed. THE COMMISH has ability to start and stop, and transfer COMMISH duties over to another owner...then it can be started and stopped, and transferred back. SICK is commish he would have to make the call to try this....but I think it could work to get the ball rolling for sure. And 60 sec gives every TEMP COMMISH plenty of time to make sure their fingers are as fast as SICKs, hahaha.

P.S. Browns own the Falcons 1st round pick #16 (check that Cardinals #17 pick). Regardless of my draft board, I really wouldnt be confident to know who I want at #16 (check that #17) till I know exactly who went at #1 thru #15 (check that #16). Just saying....but come 16th (check that come #17)....with Romeo (Check that Andre) on the clock he can reach out to me and we can chat (once I get internet access and I can atleast tell him who to pick...then the show continues, etc.)

Draft board is certainly not as good as being there but it's better than nothing, will probably set mine up later tonight just in case. Many did miss last year's because it was a surprise and no one left. Everyone is free to do what they want and I understand the fun of building through the Draft (my second favorite thing besides progression), but threatening to leave is a little eh and puts the commish in a bad position. If he has it then a member from season one bounces, if he changes it to a day you can be there BigDogs and someone else can't then what does it look like? Do they threaten to quit too? I like ya bud, just think it's a poo poo move. I know it stinks having a busy schedule right now, but this league is 20 people and Sick has to do what's best for everyone, stuff like that doesn't help him out. I know tomorrow is just a proposed day too, as Sick said nothing set in stone.

And not having the best pick stinks but isn't end of world, you're a good player and won with the default Browns for goodness sake. :lol: Last Draft I did all my prep between picks because I got on as it was going on and I bombed on some picks but wasn't end of world, I still won a game or two and got a decent player or two. I'm sure you have that Draft board set up better than anyone else too.

Going be crazy with all the picks that have been traded, some have been traded twice. Just hope everyone knows who has what, if you don't already I'd recommend keeping a notepad file and put every trade you make in it, takes like 2 minutes. I posted my picks in the trade thread, both my trades are conditional though.

Wonder if Grimes becomes a Redskin? They have some decent WRs but...

Question: As commissioner could Sick force pick for a team? If so then we could slow draft and instead of having to sync up a player and Sick, you could just post your pick here or email it to him

I've done a lot of testing in a practice franchise with it paused on the Draft, me and BigDogs messed around yesterday with it actually, and I haven't seen any way for the commish to force a pick. The person either has to make the pick or the Draft Board/CPU picks. I might just not see something though.

i already asked him and he said no

I would be pissed about Auto-Pick (especially with Slow Draft method potentially available) but do not want to come off like a prick (the fact that I am one, shouldnt get in the way). What happens happens, hopefully it works out, will pick up the pieces once I reach that point.

wish i could force pick...it would make it easier. this is a tough situation cause someone will be pissed. the slow draft thing is fine with me....but what if i cant get ahold of someone for a few days? also how can i keep it paused if i close off my cpu or internet? i dont wanna risk going to bed and it auto picking for everyone.

Q: 54 rounds!?! Man, that sounds like it could actually take an entire weekend to finish.

A: We've done some things to help you get around that. First, we give the commissioner the ability to change the time per round to draft. Once you get past the first rounds you can set the pick time to as low as 15 seconds per pick. Secondly, the CPU teams rapid fire pick. We realize nobody wants to sit around for the CPU to pick, so that takes up little to no time each pick. Finally, we actually give the Commissioner the ability to "pause" the draft at any time. This means you can pause it one day, and pick it back up at some later point to continue.
