I want to see Ray-Ray go out with a win, like Jerome Bettis did. I'm also still a bit annoyed that Harbaugh turned us down and if the dude (who seems like a bit of a jerk, to me) wins a Superbowl it will bug me even more. Also, screw Ted Ginn. No way he deserves a ring. That said, I love that Harbaugh had the balls to go to Kaepernick mid-season. Love that. And I want the option to win a Superbowl so all the teams in the NFL will be more open to running college style offenses.
It was actually a pretty balls-less move. Kaepernick had no meaningful practice time or opportunity to show development since the preseason. Meaning, he was at this level in preseason, and Harbaugh still chose to start Alex Smith over him in week 1. And players aren't supposed to lose their jobs to injury. I really dislike how Harbaugh handled the QB situation this year.
Wait...who ever said players don't/can't lose their job due to an injury? I love Alex Smith....I would have kept him as my starter. How do you know exactly what "meaningful" practice time he had though? It's pretty obvious Harbaugh was going to make the move to his guy eventually...we can at the very least assume Harbaugh knew and was grooming him. Simms makes it soooooo easy to hate Kaepernick though? "Did you see that snot rocket he just launched? Oooh the velocity I'd love to lick it up"
Pretty much every pro coach and athlete ever. You're not supposed to lose your job due to injury. Granted, it does happen, and this Smith/Kaepernick thing was particularly high profile. But it's not supposed to happen. Of course Harbaugh was grooming him. But what did Kaepernick show after Smith's concussion that he didn't show before the concussion? Nothing.
1) It always has and always will happen. How do you think Tom Brady got started? 2) Again how do you know what he showed his coaches in practice? I see what you are saying, but as the head coach he can start Frank Gore at QB if he wants. There is nothing "wrong" with what he did. Maybe he saw Kaepernick play while Smith was out and knew/felt the move couldn't make his team any worse but had potential to make them better. Who knows. You're acting like he injured Smith himself to give his guy a chance.
I usually think of Beyonce as a stinky ho but damn she was spreading it at halftime and chubbing me on.
