The Ohio State University: The Thread

For what it's worth, I think thus far the Big Ten has been doing pretty well in bowl games. The ones they did lose, they didn't lose big by any means. Minnesota probably should have beaten Iowa State; I didn't catch the Northwestern game.

 

So Jonathan Hankins committed to Ohio State. I thought he would be a Gator but I am not sure that he was really offered a scholly. Folyd will be picking this week and he is dominating ppl at the Army practices. He will choose between OSU and Florida.

I saw last week Ohio State had a total of 70 players from the state of Ohio..Pennsylvania and Florida were second with seven.

I think that speaks volumes for this states ability to breed fine football players, plus we lose a few 3-4 star players every year to Michigan and PSU.

The Buckeyes have all their real tough games in the shoe next year with the Canes being the only notable out of conference test, i would say a preseason top 5 is not out of the question.

 

Hankins from Mich and Floyd from Penn. Ohio State and Florida both recruit nationally tho. The Gators may have weather but we have to worry about FSU, Miami, and every other school that comes to FL to get talent (There are a lot).

Miami should be good next year and it will be a good game. Heyward is going to have a huge year and cause havoc all year.

You hear any news on Floyd??? Heard you guys might lose James Louis too (I doubt it tho)

 

Why would we lose Louis? I sure as hell hope not.

 

James Louis tried to commit to the Florida Gators and they told him no. Louis was told that they would not take it at this point in time and than he committed to OSU. The Gators are back in his ear and while I don't know whats being said he may decide that he wants to be a Florida Gator.


Sharrif Floyd has said that he promises a shocker on Saturday. I have no idea what that means. Chris Dunkley said the same thing and picked Florida like everyone thought. Floyd is down to UNC, OSU, and Florida. Should be interesting becuase this guy is absolutly tearing it up at the Army practices

 

Not sure how picking Florida or Ohio State is a shocker...he may be heading over to play for Butch Davis.

 

Alot of kids have said that they would make a shocker and they don't shock anyone. Its between Florida and Ohio State. Floyd said he wanted to play next to great talent so I think advantage Florida, But OSU has been a leader for awhile.

 

OSU commit James Louis will visit the Gators this weekend....Should be interesting

 

Ohio St is pretty stacked at WR and have 2 other verbals it wouldn't be a huge loss. I rather like the idea of Tressel going after the talented OL and DL. I hope they get Floyd.

 

Floyd already committed to the Gators. He is a solid. Any big program could always use another good WR recruit. I think Florida already has 3 WR's committed and are looking for at least 1 more

Yes those were the dream rumors. Floyd came out himself and never said any of that. Floyd said Meyer never said any of that. Its just a bunch of BS recruiting. Floyd will be a Gator cause he fell in love with school and players that will play next to him.

 

I still hate the Gators for getting him. Guy is going to be a beast.

 

Yeah so is Easley and Powell. We have 3 5* DL recruits.

 

I doubt they all pan out.

How is the Gators QB situation? Who is replacing Tebow?

 

Powell is now Ranked the #1 player in the country. Was named Army game MVP.b Easley rated above Floyd in some services was MVP of Under Armour game. Floyd was unblockable at DT all week of Army game practice. Also not mentioning the other 4* prospects on the Dline either. Florida may have the best recruiting class ever on defense.

 

John Brantley will take over and will do more than fine. Has a cannon and tons of skills passing. Some experts predicted he would be a first rd pick.

The only thing that can save the Buckeyes class at this point is Seantrel Henderson....if we miss out on him this "on paper" is the worst class we have had in a long time.

 

We have some nice commits sure its not flashy but were a young team.

 

At least the Gators didnt offer Louis and we let u guys have him.

Well, hopefully we can coach these kids up to a high level because as of now we have the 3rd best recruiting class in the Big Ten after Michigan and Penn State.

If he was all Ohio State why did he try to commit to Gators before Buckeye's? hmmmm Why did he visit the Gators in Jan. if he was all Ohio State? Hmmm He was only a backup if McCarney or Coxson was not a Gator. Fact is Louis never was offered but Gators showed interest in him. He wanted to be a Gator but the Gators did not have room. No big deal bro I mean it happens all the time with other recruits.

 

Ehhh more disappointed than panicked, I thought we had Henderson in the bag and its been awhile since we have had a beast LT.
