The Punisher- Terrible movie. I suggest that no one watches this steaming pile of crap.

Twilight- Could have been better and probably should have been. Mediocre

I disagree terribly. Were you a punisher fan before this movie? Or were you expecting a movie similiar to the last Punisher? If you based your opinion comparing it to the last movie, then I can see where you are coming from. But this one actually WAS the punisher, it portrayed Frank Castle perfectly, IMO.

The first one was meh, I am awaiting Netflix's delivery of the 2nd with much anticipation. I hear it's like the difference between the two Hulk movies.

I'm a fan of most comics and am a fan of The Punisher and I knew going in that it was going to be gruesome and I had some hope for it going in but 5 minutes in I knew it was going to be terrible. They should have tried to get some better actors the ones they had were bad.

I saw Zack and Miri Sunday and wasn't too happy with it. It had it's moments but overall It wasn't as good as so many made it out to be, IMO.

Too draggy of a movie IMO. The fight sequences were also a little far fetched for regular people dressed as superheroes. Just another average movie.

And The Punisher still sucks, one of the worst movies I have ever seen.

I get the effects in the movie but I never read the graphic novel so that is likely a problem. In the novel were these regular people supposed to be the much more superior then everyone else?

Just saw a new, but old-school style slasher movie on DVD called "Hatchet".

Check it out if you want over the top gore, and some ingenious ways to slaughter people.

Cloverfield. I'm an old creature feature fan and the concept of a giant monster destroying a city sounds great to me. However, the way this was delivered gave me a head ache and annoyed me. It is an interesting concept but it lessened my enjoyment of what would have otherwise been a fun creature flick. It did have some good parts just could have been better.

I just took my niece to see Jonas Bro 3D Experience today. She loved it buy my ears are ringing and I feel a sleep in it. 3D was pretty cool though. Kids who are fans would enjoy it. AMC charged me $15 per ticket though.

I saw 'I Love You, Man' tonight. I liked it, a typical Apatow-like type comedy with Paul Rudd and Jason Segel, who were both so awkwardly funny. Again like most comedies these days the first 30 to 40 minutes was great then the next 30 minutes dragged followed by 10 minutes to redeem the movie again.

If you liked Knocked Up, Role Models, Forgetting Sarah Marshall etc you'll probably like this one.

I watched two movies Sat. that reminded me of something that you would name porn.

Choke: I think it was supposed to be a comedy, but it wasn't. But it still was a good movie, IMO.

The Midnight Meat Train: Its based on a short story by Clive Barker, and they seem to leave alot out. Good movie but they left alot of details out that could have made the movie alot better.

Saw Slumdog Millionaire Saturday night- It was disappointing. Don't see how this movie won the best picture award. It was not the worst movie I ever saw, but far from one of the better ones.

I read the short story from Barker ages ago, and the movie was a decent interpretation. Now Barker had planned on this being the first part of a trilogy, but based on the Lionsgate mishandled it's release those plans have been chucked. I imagine a lot of those questions would have been answered in Pts II and III.

I kept waiting to hear "I'm the Juggernaut, *****!" but alas, it didn't happen. :(

I saw Beverly Hills Chihuahua and Iron Man this weekend. Saw both in the theaters and enjoyed both the second time around (although there could have been more nudity in BHC!).

Go rent it, put it in your Netflix queue, whatever it takes. This movie is beyond fantastic! I catch a lot of movies (at least 6-8 a week) and it is not very often that one captures me like this one. It's a character study of the demented mind, starring (and directed by) Joel Moore (who you may remember from Grandmas Boy, Dodgeball, and the above mentioned Hatchet) and he puts on a banner performance. You never fully know what is going on until the end, and even then there are back to back twists that will surprise you.

Amber Tamblyn, reminding me of a young Marcia Gay Harden, plays a super sexy role.

Found it very overrated and somewhat boring and slow, especially in the middle. I thought Sean Penn did a good job but didn't think he deserved the Oscar over Mickey Roulke for that performance.

Saw I Love You, Man over the weekend and thought it was hilarious. Rudd and Segel were great together and the supporting cast of guys like John Favreau and Andy Samberg were solid as well.

I was very surprised at 'Milk' because I heard it was such a good movie. I really wish the movie focused more on Harvey's gay rights movement than the individual elections. Obviously the guy was a hero in the civil rights movement but I felt the movie really lacked showing it, instead I came away that the movie was more about with how a gay man was elected into office instead of how a gay man changed America.

I also didn't understand how Josh Brolin got a Best Supporting Act nod. I thought James Franco and/or 'Phoenix' (kid with the glasses) did a much better job.
