Trade discussion goes here. Don't like a deal? Want to compliment someone on a deal....etc. Keep in mind, if you are trying to garner votes at the end, you might want to be courteous and friendly to your fellow GM's rather than rip them to shreds on a bad deal. Sage words of advice? EDIT: No trades have not started yet. Just setting up.
Trade Block threads... they belong to the team that posts the block. If an opposing GM posts in your thread and you don't like the tone of their voice, request the post to be deleted by PMing either me or Boik and we'll delete the post. Simple as that.
If I thank the confirmed portion of a trade, it means I've seen it and verified it... sort of league certified
That would have been horrible and cost me another deal. In my defense they both are third rounders that end inthe number 5
another reminder, please don't comment on trades before they are agreed to by the other half of the trade. Man, I'm such a dictator... this has turned into the no fun league.. GML stands for Great Moments Lacking. I used to be so much more fun as a GM?
Shut it GIK =P I went back and watched his every interception before the trade, and its amazing how his offense let him down. Here in Tennessee we are going to build an offense to his strengths instead of throwing him out there with a bunch of garbage offensively No offense SeaBass, you didn't build the roster I'm sure youll do great with them.
There we go. First fair trade offer I've seen out of you Todd in the 2 seasons I've played. Now I know you _can_ do it which I hadn't seen till yet (although I'm curious what the original offer was ;p ). I just needed to see a real example.
Hes made fair deals with me before. I dont think we got anything done last year but the year before we did. Hes no different then anyone else...he tries to get the best deal he can for his team. You posture just as much
As if. I just don't bend to trading players I don't want to trade. You ask for players I'm willing to trade I'm much more open. Ask RickyBobby or Alex or Sports24/7 etc. Even opening up the J.J. talks doesn't even mean I'll trade him. Just means I'm accepting the fact people are going to keep trying anyways ;p We've only really discussed 1 player I'm actually willing to trade this season...but the pieces just don't really fit. I mean if the first folks your asking for are on a public no trade list...your going to get shot down with not much effort lol.
Yeah I can honestly say Van doesn't posture. I offered him something, he declined....didn't counter offer, came back and we did the swap we had talked about anyway and I ended up with Andre Johnson.
Van I didn't mean that in a way that you don't make deals and aren't easy to deal with. You are. I'm just saying everyone always wants their best deal.
Depends on the player, who I am dealing with and general mood. I think you'll see (god especially with the Fin-O deal) there are times I give up value and could have gotten more. Depends on timing and whatever rebuild plan I'm thinking of at that moment lol.
Haha I know its crazy. To be honest I don't even know what to make of my own trades. I'm kind of off the walls.
Well I'm waiting on Van who's waiting on FinO who's waiting on the Broncos. Form a line, single file.
Like I said before. It's a slutty pick. I wouldn't be surprised by draft day if it was used by half the teams.
Did you watch it with some popcorn err.... J/k. I don't think it's a bad deal. Baltimore liked him enough to fork out $100 mill so #11 pick isn't so bad, especially when there likely won't be crap for QB at 11. At least you can cut his salary in half.
My reasoning was: #11 - Great pick. Only QB I like is Bridgewater and he will be gone. Ayers - Great second season but a role player. Roos - Actually the piece I regret giving up. Flacco isn't Manning, but Baltimore never tried to build around him. It was basically "Here is Ray Rice, hand him the ball. Here is Smith chuck it deep, oh and you have no line". IMO If Flacco has another season like last, I lose this trade. If he's the Flacco that has come to play the rest of hid career its a fair deal. It won't hurt to have Andre and Jordy either
LOL. I only do trades that the other GM agrees with. Van's impression of me, "HEY, you, pipsqueak, gimme Calvin Johnson and like it!". Not to mention, why do you assume all my past trades were self-initiated? Am I the only GM who doesn't receive offers? If I like one, I'll sign off on it. What am I gonna do, tell them "I like this trade too much you offered so I'm gonna have to decline."? I'll leave it up to the league to veto anything that might seem lopsided.
And behind every GM who noted his list of untouchables is a GM who ended up trading one at some point or another. Then there's the GMs who put players on the untouchable list just to create a higher perceived value. C'mon dude, you've got DeAndre Hopkins and Brandon Brooks on your no-trade list too so how seriously do you expect me to take it? ... and you're not even a Clemson fan. Using my hands as a balance scale> JJ Watt-Brandon Brooks. JJ Watt-Brandon Brooks. JJ Watt-Brandon Brooks. JJ Watt. Brandon Brooks. LOL. Have you never inquired about a player on the no trade block?
