The fact that you let the Raiders bid sit there, apparently knowing it to be false, so you could drive up bids is shady at best.
I assumed it was false but I wasn't sure until I contacted him the next day. I'm sorry for not handling it sooner?

One could argue the raiders deals wasn't good enough... Headcase lb Injured wr And nobody up to wakes quality. I appreciate the gamesmanship...I imagine some of this type of stuff goes on the the nfl
And I love Wake...but reality is if someone opened the bidding at Round 1 #8...I'd listen. It would take more...but I would listen. Wake thrives off his athleticism and I don't buy it lasting for more then 2...3 years tops. And when it falls..it'll be hard. This is also a VERY strong year for DE's. I'd also like to find someone who could rush from either end...not exclusively from the left. I would look towards the Jared Allen deal and up that deal for a first outright instead of swapping 1sts. You just got to draft better then K.C. did ;p Even if they got a solid LT and a 1500 yard rusher out of it.
I'd do it for a first and 2 3rd's. Even better if he has a higher pick to. Could do some serious damage in the draft...especially if an idiot picks a QB ahead of him ;p Hell I traded a 1st and 2nd and got Orakpo....that guys a double digit sack guy over the harder RE.
