Brother Andrew here is what I found on Mark Prior.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mark_Prior

On January 13, 2009, Prior agreed to a one-year minor league contract with the San Diego Padres.[8] The minor league deal includes a $1 million option that will be lifted if Prior pitches in the major leagues in 2009.[9]
He was released from his contract on August 1, 2009 after not having been called up all season. On January 26 2010 in a shocking move, Mark Prior got invited to spring training with the Chicago Cubs.

That information is false. Prior has not been invited to ST with the Cubs. He's still a free agent and according to Jayson Stark he's currently throwing off a mound and might hold an open tryout for teams soon.

SAN DIEGO -- The Padres' roster construction continues as Spring Training approaches. The newest addition appears to be free agent catcher Yorvit Torrealba, who is close to being signed to a one-year contract, a source said on Wednesday.
But in Torrealba, they will get a veteran who has appeared in 574 Major League games over a nine-year career and someone who knows the National League West Division well.
