Like Section, I haven't heard anything. It's amazing how nobody really knows what is going on. It seems like Pat Riley is hammering down after all these leaks.

    I don't know what's going on.

Bosh is/was scheduled to meet with Chicago tomorrow, but now they met with him after us? Normally I'd say that's a bad thing for us, but that meeting was SO SHORT. Why so short? Miami met with him for four hours. Was there a commitment made during our meeting that led to Chicago's rush to desperation with a last ditch effort that clearly failed?

I'm pretty sure that Riley's plan is to go into tomorrow's meeting with LeBron with Wade + another big free agent locked up. That could be a good or bad thing depending on how "ready" Chris Bosh is to commit. I fear Chris Bosh being iffy, and Riley jumping the gun and going with Amare who would probably accept a contract on the spot.

The biggest raging red flag was leaked almost 2 weeks ago guys....

The media got wind of D-Wade's publicist renting out a Ballroom at the Fountain Bleu for July 9th.

The media for a while now has taken that as D-Wade's resigning party.

Does it involve other players? we shall see.

I'm sure players can announce their intention to sign.

But Zo's presence makes me think it might have something to do with a charity announcement.

    Got a few questions answered.

. Pat Riley will not be held up by anybody over a Sign and Trade. The Heat have plenty of options.

. JJ Redick will be a hot commodity for alot of teams to come off the bench. Not known if the Heat have interest.

. Brendan Haywood is a rotation Big and not a 36 minute center.

. John Salmons contract is a surprise. he is priced just right. Bigger fish to fry before approaching Salmons. Game is not compatible and is better suited to play with an athletic #3 / #2 that can defend Small Forwards.

. Rudy Gay signing that contract. Pretty smart work by Memphis, they headed off a rush of teams that were going to pry him off their hands.

. Heat has had only preliminary talks with Udonis Haslem. it is at phone call pleasantry level.

. The Heat is not going the gimmick route, selling winning, community.

. Front Office perturbed by a concerted effort by a few teams to attack and smear the Miami Heat Front Office Execs. in order to gain an advantage.

This is my fear. WAIT FOR BOSH. Amare, Boozer, Lee, etc. will not sign until he does, unless we jump the gun and make them offers. Every big man is waiting on Bosh. Don't let him get away!

It's high stakes poker. Since I trust Sec's source who stated that Wade will tell Riley whether or not LBJ is realistic, I think Wade might have told Riley that they need a third but it doesn't have to be Bosh.

Both cle and Miami tried to trade for Amare and he is well liked by both guys. Sure Bosh is a little better but if a commitment from Amare gets you just as equal shot at Lebron Ithink you take it

Fake smoke screens all over the place right now HiDef, keep in mind the Bucks sold for 100 million dollars 15 yrs ago, now a single contract can cost more than that, when that much Big Money is in play things are at a whole different level.

I do have to call out Sect a bit, maybe 2 months ago he was certain Rudy Gay would be a member of the Heat, an idea I found absurd...Sect did say there was no way the Griz would sign Gay for big money...

Right now I'm glad the Griz did sign him...Riley wants winners, the Heat need winners imho.

In Section's defense, I've got to say that a lot of people close to the Miami Heat organization felt the same way about Gay potentially joining Miami. And a lot of people around the league (most, if not all) felt the same way about Memphis bluffing about being willing to match any and all offers. They really stepped it up, but it was unexpected.

When I was out earlier and saw the Twitter report on my iPhone I was shocked.

He likes Memphis and really wanted to stay there.... just wasn't sure if they'd be willing to offer him his max, much like Amare's situation in Phoenix. That's why he ate it up right away. He'd of gotten similar offers elsewhere with perhaps the poison pill that could have been a bit more beneficial to him financially. But in the end he wanted to stay in Memphis.

Signing Rudy Gay to such a large contract is a part of the reason why the Griz are the Griz.

You can say he is still a young player, but that much large is meant for greatness not just youth.

Yea HD, there's going to be smokescreens thrown here and there. Alot of disinformation is going to be leaked out to mask whats really going on. Like Amare said, no one really knows whats going on.

That has been the shock of this Free Agency period.

I made my statement two months ago on very good information. As in video and photographic evidence of Rudy Gay touring Heat facilities and working out with Wade, while telling all that he would like to be here.

    Riley loves his game.

This was a very surprising move in that memphis had swore for months that they were not a luxury tax team. In the end...they are one NOW.

But male no mistake..they made a very smart move and headed off about 4 teams that were going to poison pill an offer sheet for him. One of which was going to be the Heat after The Initial hunts settled.

I suspect it is a lot more complicated than that Padre.. With all the open competition in the marketplace, how many marquis players are going to bolt for Memphis?

Well, this FA in the NBA is like the uncapped yr in the NFL was SUPPOSED to be, Teams throwing money at FA's right now..

Regardless of quality, when Gooden and Drago are pulling down over 15 millie..things are nutty, no team wishes to be shut out of the FA game.

I actually agree with you, thus the reason why I've called Rudy Gay the backup plan all along.

Miami was never going to sign him to an offer sheet until the other big free agents were all committed.

That is one of the Risks of Riles strategy, nothing stays static for very long and there are no sure things.

For me, I'd love to see Haslem and Q back with the Heat..they are the Mechanics for the Ferrari, you need them to make things go right.

Guys..I am not coming off the mountain with the tablets here....

I think the secret is out...

there are Three good bigs in this market. Bosh, Amare, Boozer.

ALL THREE have the Heat as the #1 destination. There is just a game of poker being played now to make sure we get the BEST ONE of the group which is Bosh.

The Sign and Trade scenario can get sticky, because you have a Player on one hand wanting the contract..and then you are playing chicken with a General manager that you have no intentions of helping.

It gets tricky. You want to WIN.

Chris Bosh better end up here. That is all I have to say. I will be furious if he doesn't regardless of what else happens unless it means LeBron + one of the others taking a discount. I might not even follow the rest of the offseason.

Guys...The TRUE ENEMY has yet to reveal himself...but this can offer a clue.

Could it be that Wade and Lebron are conducting a subversive war against each other trying to pry free agents to their causes?

This seems to suggest that a impending Bron vs. Wade tug o' war is brewing over Mike Miller.

    This is my preference. Bosh/Haywood/Miller.

    G - Chalmers / Dooling
    G - Wade / Bell
    F - Miller / Wright
    F - Bosh / Beasley
    C - Haywood / Pittman

That is what I really want to see in October, as I really don't see LBJ coming here.

That team has two superstars, can shoot, and will play defense.

Possible, but I think that's a misreading of the tweet, at least it seems like a misreading based on what we know. It sounds like LeBron and Wade will team up to recruit Miller, not compete for his services. At least right now it does.

I really want to make a run at Kyle Korver for a role on the team.

Miller is a better playmaker...Korver lights it up from three. In Riles we trust.

Two really good options for the #3 spot.

DO NOT forget the TRADE MARKET.
