Yeah not gonna win against this team with field goals be aggressive dammit!
Both were bad but the offense cant go out and kick 5 FG against a team scoring 37ppg or whatever.
Coming in if you said we would give up 24 and have 5 scoring drives I'd have told you we won.
What's disturbing about this game is that every time the Dolphins made it close and made it appear they had a chance to win, Seattle scored easily quickly thereafter. It was like they could simply turn it on mentally/emotionally in response to those situations and do whatever they wanted. Makes you wonder what the score would be if they were playing a better opponent and perhaps playing the whole game that way, instead of maybe being complacent against a weak opponent for much of the game.
The defense did their job today even if their were inexcusable plays like the big pass at the end of first half. But you can't win without scoring touchdowns.
I was going to say I smell a pick 6. Almost
And Fitz throws his trademarked interception.
Ballgame. Thanks Fitzy. Thanks for not scoring a TD offense. Thanks for giving up multiple big plays Defense.
If we didn't control the time of possession in this game we would have been blown out.
And now the passer rating differential is 109 to 60. That won't win you many games.
Should be the last one for Fitz. Enough is enough. Future time.
Can't get Fitzpatrick in must-pass situations. He ain't good enough.
Worst part is we still wont see Tua.
Not really IMO. It just looks like they have. Going into the drive where Fitz just tossed another INT we were up almost 6 minutes in time of possession. We kept them off the field dinkin and dunkin.
Anytime they got the ball and needed to be aggressive they just dominated the defense. The defense was bad. If we didn't control the ball on offense with 15 play field goal drives the D would have given up far more.
They were awful for the most part. Just like the offense.
IT only looks close because we controlled the clock on our inept drives
I didn’t expect to win this game and this is about how I expected, with some more points.
We know Fitz isn’t a franchise QB and he showed why today. This team is young, still learning how to play and will get better.
At least we competed... Let’s see what happens down the road and the Seapigeons seem to be good this year.
Do we see Tua?
Why not Tua? Get some experience?
Cue Porky Pig. Be be be be dat's all folks!
1-15 season beckons. Clueless HC ,OC and bang average QB.
Give Tua a chance
I think he was sick this week wasnt he? I kind of figured we wouldnt see him.
And now here come the garbage time yards and points....
Tua should get the start next week.
It's obvious Gailey's gameplan here was to control the clock and stop Seattle from scoring. That worked. What didn't work was the fact we didnt score points & the D gave them up in big chunks. Good gameplan against an explosive team like Seattle, but both sides of the ball still managed to blow it with the offense not scoring, and the defense giving up big plays and 30+ points.
This game was over when we ran the ball on 3rd and 3 from the goal, in shotgun, then decided to kick a FG. You only run there if you are all in on going for it on 4th, and if you do run it youd better convert one of the two downs.
Not in San Francisco. The week after.
They had a shot when it was 17-15 and they had the Seahawks' defense very tired. But that's what separates good teams from bad ones -- what happens in those situations. Seattle came out and quickly scored, when it could've been a statement drive for the Dolphins where they took control of the game.
Preston Williams jumps for almost every ball he catches it seems.
I'd still give Tua a few more weeks to sit and learn, or to the bye-week at the latest.
And in reality this one isn't yet over. One first down though and it is.
Possession - SEA 25:01 - MIA 33:09
Why would you do an onside kick when you have all three timeouts?
Garbage points are so misleading.
Wilson will keep it for a first.
The choice to conside was fine IMO but the kick was horrendous.
Mostly because we arent stopping Seattle 3 times in a row if they seriously want a first.
There was space between the chain and ball wtf
I guess an onside kick gives you two chances to get the ball -- with the kick and with the timeouts -- instead of just one.
You miss the point, you can't win without scoring touchdowns. Period.
Seattle started as a 6.5 to 7 point favorite, which moved to a closing line of 4.5 with betting on the Dolphins. Lots of people lost money with an eight-point loss here.
It’s future time regardless. What are you gaining with Fitz that wouldn’t be more valuable for Tua?
who cares if he struggles a bit when the results will mostly be the same
Overall, the team played well today and limited Wilson. If a few of those field goals turned into 1st downs and eventually TD's, I think a lot of people here would have a completely different outlook on this team. They're playing hard and I think it's only a matter of time before they put together a little win streak this season.
