Well, after watching the game last night iam just a happy guy today, gonna be at this computer all day and night so, tell me what ya'll saw last night that excites the hell out of you...

The Wildcat Baby!!!!we just let the rest of the NFL know that its part of who we are, and who were going to be..The chad pennington interview after the game confirmed to me what ive been harping on all offseason...He said, they look at it as a power running formation, which is what i like to call, the Smashcat..bein sayin it all offseason, even when we did draft Pat.... no, ronnie's the Wildcat's MVP, and he aint goin nowhere, so you can get to know him'...Lil 50 cent reference for ya...... It looked midseason form, what makes it so outstanding in my eyes is just how simple the plays are but how excellent our execution is on all parts, especially ronnie, just watch the mans feet, hands and vision, what a diverse football player, he did it all last nite, ran the ball hard, caught it beautifully, and executed the cat...I mean, the switching of Vernon,Jake and Donald to one side, if that aint smashcat i dont know what is. Iam absolutely in love with this formation..and i will stick to what ive been sayin since Pat was drafted, soon you will start to see pat on the field with ronnie in some capacity. Thats gonna be this years wrinkle..Pat white as the x factor for the wildcat while ronnie is at the helm..Wait until Ronnie looks like hes about to take the snap out of the formation, then all of a sudden, in mid cadence, the switch will happen, Pat will take ronnies spot and ronnie will become the x....hehehehehehehehe..

Man did Donald Thomas look good...He was just lookin at mother grabbers last nite and they were foldin up shop, as CK says, the legend continues..me very happy that donald is part of the "orca 5" ladies and gentlemen, lol....what up 23rd, you crazy cat you.

Who wants to talk about a very sexy man called Lexy...Is this man for real or what...the guy is 240lbs, no body fat, power, runs downhill, is pretty fast and wants to hurt you...I gurantee you he could pick up 9 3rd and 1's, all day...So i know were keeping all four backs, what i dont know is what were gonna do with Lousaka, Padre kept saying he was lookin good out there last night, is it possible we keep 4 and polite? i just wanna teach Lex how to block so his diversity is on the field when the offense requires a fullback to be out there..dude can catch as well...Did ya'll see that pitch he took at the end of the game, saw the hole and completely flipped a switch and attacked upfield? it was an violent movement.

VDEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!! i caught VD last nite, lol..i'am sorry, i love this kid and i accept his craziness. This is a player that i personally have been waiting for for a long time here..I know Pat surtain could play the run, but this kid is on a different level..he could not get juked last night in the open field, there were some tough one on one matchups in the flat and he read them beautifully, came up, watched the hips of the player and stuck the player with authority....This is where our closeness, chemistry and bretheren of a team is different then most of the NFL, Our players will not let this kid fail mentally..Iam a full blown vontae fan, the interview he did with mandich last nite was so funny, he was like a little kid, said he wanted to back out there and keep playing, was laughin, havin fun and was bein REAL...even after last week, i knew he would bounce back, the kids a true dolphin and is gonna be a lot of fun to watch him play football for us. The competition is not over yet baby.. I hope all of you can accept your VD, even, during its flare ups...lol....iam funny...

Lets talk some Cam Wake shall we....some said he projected as a third rounder comin in..... well, lets just imagine if this kid was comin out of the draft with the tape that we have seen in the first two preseason games...holy first round picks batman..what an amazing story, to know how mental this game truly is, i mean, r u serious, gets cut by the giants and goes to the cfl, sells his tv and puts it all together, bbigger, stronger, faster is his mantra, i have been curbing my enthusiasm all offseason because i needed to see him play... Jeff ireland, bill parcells....much respect for bringin us that extra draft pick..3rd rounder? ... heck,i aint never seen no 3rd rounder come off the edge like that in their rookie campaign.

Crowder seems to have some pass rush skills in the preseason that does'nt translate in the regular season, he made an unbelievable play on the QB last preseason if you remember, same thing last nite..the way he used his hands on that cut block was impressive, explosive on the finish, Akin also had a very nice game, it really does looks like both have elevated their games to another level.

The future...Henne....The guy moves the team and puts points on the board, won the game with 3rd sringers last nite....Thats the guy you want runnin the spread offense, not the tebow spread, but the Brady spread. I will not give up on my dream to have a henne package thrown into this hybrid offense....AKA.."The super hybrid".........ok ok, i know, calm down Deej..

    No injuries last nite.....hell yeah....

Paul solai and Fergie both looked real good to me, real strong, i'd like to see some 43 defense sometimes..

The Code...... Besides all the players and talent we have..........this team is completely unified, Fully focused, and busting their tails to play as a team........You know what that equals to me...A very... Dangerous.. Football team.

I'll be here all day brothers and sisters, anything you wanna talk about, give me a shout..

I'm not as big on Henne as some people here. He doesn't seem to have much feel for pressure in the pocket. That "sense" that the great QB's have and that worries me.

The Patriots passing game is basically a modified Run n Shoot. I don't believe any of our offensive guys have experience with that system, but John Gruden coached it in his college days and tried to install it in Tampa Bay before injuries put the kibosh on that idea. He would be an ideal coordinator if you want a pass-first portion of the playbook for Henne. To boot, he very much understands the Zone Read, so Pat White won't be neglected.

As for Tim Tebow, I wouldn't object to the Fins drafting him if we let Pennington go.

hmmmm, i actually see him standing in there in the face of pressure with his head downfield still going thru his progressions.

I also really like how accurate he is on his short to intermediate throws.

I completely agree with DJ. Sometimes his ability to withstand the beating and still deliver passes reminds me of Ben Roethlisberger at times, except Henne looks a lot less sloppy than Ben in the pocket.

You guys didn't quite get what I meant.

Yes he stands in the pocket. That isnt the problem. The problem is he is almost TOO fearless and doesn't feel that backside pressure coming.

Just noticed that henne pass to our fullback for the td, excellent touch, threw it right over the linebackers head, dropped right in, not much room there but he made it look easy.

    NICE POST:

Running- Great movement on the line opening holes early Ronnie and Ricky run baby run rock on. Seemed to close up a bit during Whites time, wow who would of thougt they crowd the line or spy hehe. Now Hilliard what do we do with him he is a beast against the twos and threes can he bring it against the one's and if so i want room for him i love T-Lex.

wildcat - cant wait to see Pat and Ronnie trade spots regularly confuse and keep it fresh

oline- Donald Thomas with his limited snaps has equaled Murphy so i expect a true solid #1 come thursday

Corner - Wow VONTAE i never was so happy to catch a VD since i met that gypsy chick at the dead show oops wrong forum,. Glad he learned from his mistakes

Henne- Not bad, and while everyone wants the deep throw he takes what the defense gives him, hmm whose his mentor again

Defense - i liked the way they experimented with Crowder, but in the reg season they'll be more conservative with him dont expect sending him after the qb to often . Wake up world hes got kill skills but can he cover

    :knucks:

Bro, you may suffer a NFL OverDose at that rate...

Studying the last two games and comparing them to the squad/roster we had in 07 and I'm amazed at the differences, I'm sure we are going to cut some guys who would have been key starters back in 07.

Take Andrew Gardner, he's a bubble guy, in 07...do the names Alabi and Toldeo ring any bells?

And it is a heck of alot easier to get hyped about Cameron Wake than it ever was for Abraham Wright, I'm watching Chris Clemmons fly around the field with Dredlocks bouncing around, and recall in 07 our later round guy was Kelvin Smith.

Ricky was still on suspension in 07 and a guy like Hilliard would have been a lock to make the team, this year, he's not even a top 3 back on our squad.

Lou Polite or Reagan Mauia? recall folks posting that "I'm the juggernaut " youtube video?

JT saying Trent Green was scrambled eggs?

I tell ya Bro, it's a great time to be a Dolphin fan.

    here's my 2 cents.

We have 2 great QB's, and 3 good ones. There's never been a time when i didn't care which one of our QB's started. wow!

Ronnie Brown is the freaking man!

Ginn was in the majority of the highlights of the first pre season game. didn't see much from him on the 2nd pre season game. i wonder how many plays he was in. That's something that only sparano would know. i love how sparano knows how many plays each persons had. lol. but that's besides the point. The bottom line is that this IS Ginn's break out year! And you can take that to the bank!

Lex is here to stay! What an impressive performance!

It didn't take long for Cameron to make us WAKE up and smell the coffee!

JT is back and playing better than ever, and we're paying him cheap to sack the QB, create fumbles and recover them, and mentor Wake!

Our Secondary is Back!!!!! Sean Smith has great hands and height. Vontae Davis is an aggressive tackling machine. He will be a great shut down corner. eventually, we won't need will allen, who is a great CB. I can't wait to see how our 2 safety's Bell and Wilson play the Quarters defense. I believe we have yet to see the Quarters defense in pre season. we're saving that for the real season.

Ricky Williams is gonna go off this season. And we're barely paying him for it. He will be back to rush leading status. except he won't b/c he's sharing time with ronnie. Which is a good thing. All ricky is missing is the dredlocks!

Tony Sparano is the Czar of Football!

it was just a great play by a great player. And let's face it, a little ridiculous. Sparano and pasqualoni are gonna give the defense total hell for that play but ultimately that will not happen again.

I would pay to see sparano going over the film of that play with the players. i bet he freeze frames on every missed tackle, stares at the player who missed the tackle, then moves on to the next one. then rewinds the tape back and does it again and again. Without any words being spoken.

Two nice solid games.....my only concern is our special teams....we have to tackle a little better, and I think we still need to find a kickoff/punt returner other then Ginn and Bess.

But now for the good.....I just loved Donald Thomas plowing guys over. We needed some run blocking help and I think we have it. Rex Hilliard has to make this team...I like Polite but I like Rex a lot more. Had the officiating not been so bad we win this game easily.

Raji needs to get in shape. He sits at 337 and gasses out.

I saw some highlights of that game and I wonder if Trent Edwards knows how to step up in the pocket. On some plays, theres pressure coming from the left for example and he runs right instead of simply moving up in the pocket.
