Ive never seen anything like it, Harrell is as cool in the pocket as ive seen in a while, unofficially the number 1 QB taken IMO. heisman winner definetly.

Crabtree is freakin ridiculous...You guys have to watch closely but iam tellin ya, the guy is so good he does'nt even look the ball into his hands, he snatches and turns better then anything ive ever seen out of a college receiver prospect. Better at this stage then Calvin Johnson.

I predict 1 and 2 in the heisman....what a matchup against the sooners coming up.

If you wanna know how good Harrell is just watch him when he throws that ball to win the game against texas again, tremendous pressure on him, game on the line, he sits in the pocket, waits for the route, beautifully sets his feet and delivers a perfect pass.

Iam watching these two play in awe.

He'll get competition for the Heisman in his own league. One of the Big 12 Qb's will win it though.

McCoy and Bradford will get plenty of support.

The amazing thing about Crabtree is that he hasnt even been playing WR that long

competition yes, but the numbers this kid has put up in the last three games are uncanny, crabtree is a man playing with boys.

Tebow is coming back in the mix for the Heisman .He is a better QB this year than last year and if the Gators win out and win the SEC and play in the National championship he could win again IMO.

There is still a lot of season left yet.

It hurts him winning so big tho. He is always leaving the game early and not getting the stats like last year. however I will take winning over the Heisman.

He could have had 10 TDs today .He had 5 already and could have easily scored another easily but he unselfishly gave the ball to Harvin who then fumbled it .

They pulled him at the end of third quarter

harrell's last three games crunch, hes something like 80 percent completion percentage, 1300 yards and 12 td's with no picks, also hes playing on the # 2 team in the country. much respect for tebow but i just dont think anyone can compete with this kid this year.. Also hes every bit as good as his stats show, cant wait to see that sooner game.

The gators imo deserve to be in last place when it comes to 1 loss teams, losing at home in the swamp against an unranked opponent is all that needs to be said

He is a great passer but no one is as great an overall athlete as Tebow IMO.
He is a great runner and he has become great passer too.Very accurate and a big arm and his leadership is unquestionable.

I dont see Tebow winning again. It'll take more than his team playing for the National Championship, especially since he'll most likely be playing one of the Big 12 QB's that is probably ahead of him in the race atm.

I think Bradford and McCoy are ahead of Harrell.

Crabtree is good but not better than Calvin coming out IMO.

It sucks that Shonn Greene isn't getting the credit he deserves, I think he should be in the Heisman mix, but it's all about McCoy, Harrell, and Crabtree... Oh and those UF fans just HAVE to bring up Tebow... :wink2:

With all due respect to the others, having 1,200 yards rushing with a 6.2 YPC and 11 TD thus far is Heisman material, IMO. Not to mention he's the only RB to have ran for 100 yards in EVERY game this season.

Personally I think Harrell or Crabtree deserves it because they're playing well and their team is undefeated, but hopefully after the PSU upset, Greene gets a bit more recognition for Heisman..

I think Javon Ringer deserves more heisman attention than he's getting if we're talking about Big Ten RB's who arent getting enough credit. He carries that team, has 1500 yards rushing and 18 TDs. Guy is a machine.

Having over 300 carries gets you those kind of numbers... Ringer is a great running back, no doubt... But seriously, all they do is give him the ball it seems lol..

We could say the samething about Harrell and his passing stats. I feel bad for Ringer, dude carries his team and they run him into the ground. But that has to count for something.

Even though he averaged about 42 carries per game for the first who knows how many games, I absolutely agree. He's been a monster this year and teams have had trouble slowing him down.

Its unlikely he will win it because there is no concerted effort on UFs part to get him the trophy .The Heisman trophy is highly political and needs a campaign to make the effort effective.

Tebow running has been restricted and winning is the main effort this year.

The ball gets spread around to a myriad of weapons and Tebow is being taken out of games when the score is very lopsided as it has been most of the year.

I am just saying he is back in the running and will garner a lot of votes.

As it is now Harrell seems to be the big favorite

I disagree brother,as it stands right now,imo harrell is ahead of bradford and mccoy, his team is ranked higher, hes throwing to the # 1 receiver in the cointry, and his stats are ridiculous. Lets revisit this in two weeks after the sooner game, that game should determine it, but as it stands today i think its pretty obvious, hes also on a cinderells team thats in position to win the whole thing, and he is as good as advertised

His team is ranked higher, your right about that. His statistics are going to be ridiculous when you run pass ratio is heavily favored to pass. He runs a spread offense where they pass the ball nearly 50 times a game. Your going to have that. Also, when your playing in the Big 12, your going to have success due to the lack of defense. McCoy is completing an incredibly high percentage of balls at Texas this year. I do agree that he's good as advertised but I can guarantee you that if Bradford and McCoy come out, both will be taken before Harrell. Guarantee it. Teams are still wary of Quarterbacks coming out of a college that ran out of shotgun and a spread offense. Not many have succeeded, last one being Alex Smith. I think that will hold Harrell back from being drafted higher. I see Harrell as a late second to third round pick right now.

That's not as true this year. They are running (comparably) a much more balanced attack.

    58/25
    46/22
    55/27
    43/25
    60/30
    25/23
    56/23
    48/29
    53/28
    55/25

That is total number of team passes vs rushes.

In years past, those rushing #'s would be in the teens. They are passing less than normal, but when you get so many snaps on offense you're going to accumulate a lot of pass attempts. I don't find anything wrong with them passing at a 2/1 ratio, considering it used to be 3/1.

I mean how many teams average like 80 snaps on offense a game?

Harrel's stats arent that much better than the other QB's in the Big 12.

    Harrel - 4,077 passing yards, 36TD 5int, 71.7 comp% 6 Rushing TDs
    McCoy - 2,879 passing yards, 28 Td 7 INt, 78 comp%, 449 rushing yards 7 TD
    Bradford - 3,406 passing yards, 38 TD 6 INT, 67.9 comp%

Harrel is in the lead for the Heisman atm, agree w/ that. But if Bradford lights up TT defense and OU wins the game that can easily change.

Here's where ESPN tracks the Heisman for those interested

That's still a very high number of passes thrown. He's throwing 49.9 passes per game according to those numbers, which is also 50 passes a game like I said in my post. He's completing 72% of his passes, which is about 36 completions per game. I don't find anything wrong with the run/pass ratio, I was merely pointing out to why Harrell's statistics are so high.

That was # of team passes. He's probably at 48/game. :tongue2:

I've stated in the past that I thought that we have a weak QB class coming out this next year and that is still true overall but the 3 or 4 top guys are much better than I thought they would be (given that 3 may come out earlybecause of the Money thing). And there are teams that sure do need a QB so these guys will go high, I believe. (Harrell, McCoy, Bradford, and Tebow)
