KD is out for the rest of this series. This is Houston’s best chance at beating them. I’m praying they do. They really **** the bed by losing last night.

A bucks/raptors vs rockets/nuggets/blazers finals would be great. I’d personally want to see blazers vs raptors.

I'm firmly on-board the Bucks bandwagon. I've been keeping an eye on them and the TWolves for a few years as young teams that might do something. The Wolves have fallen over sideways but Giannis is the real deal and Coach Bud & co have built a roster that is performing well right down the bench, I'm genuinely happy to see a franchise that hasn't seen success in decades start to do something. Especially a more small market team. So I'd love to see them win it all this year.

If not, anyone but the Warriors really. A Houston victory at this stage would obviously guarantee that. If Houston fail, then can Denver or Portland beat the Warriors? I think Denver probably has the best chance but I wouldn't say it was a great chance. If they can at least put up a fight and drag out the series, then Golden State would face arrive at the finals not having played many games less than everyone else. Whereas the Bucks, if they get there, could end up arriving well rested.

So go Giannis! Win it all son!

I hate the Rockets for so many reasons, but I really feel bad for their fans. What a horrible way to get knocked outta the playoffs two years in a row. Not as horrible as the Saints. But real bad. Sorry Rockets guy. Truly.

I believe that’s 4 of the last 5 years they’ve been knocked out by golden state. Houston is like the Indiana pacers of the Lebron heat era. I think this was their one chance unless GSW loses KD and Klay next year.

Also I just realized list night an underrated part of my team sucking - there’s no stress in 4th quarter closeout games anymore. I do not miss that feeling.

Lol. It is what it is. I wanted to turn it off after the first quarter when everyone, except Harden & Tucker, was playing like scared children. It was obvious after the first quarter, that the season was over.

Before I say what Im about to say, I want it to be known that i don't have any complaints about the refs in this series in games 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6. After the media called out the refs after the Game 1 obvious fix, the refs [including Scott Foster(0-11) in game 2, where the Rockets lost by the exact spread...haha] were on their best behavior. Lol, they had no choice after it went public. Clint Capela, Mike Dantoni, and especially Chris "Bum" Paul lost this series. Those are 3 of the top 5 pieces in the organization, and they left Daryl Morey and James Harden hanging. The thing that annoys me the most is that idiots have already decided to place all blame on Harden and Morey...the only 2 key pieces that did their job this season.

Now, as I said in a prior post, the NBA killed a lot of my fandom last year with these refs. People don't like to hear it, but there is the truth. It has gotten so bad, that even the national commentators during the game are calling out the fix jobs by the refs. I do like to gamble on the Rockets games (because I know this team really well), and by just looking at who the refs of the games are, I can almost guarantee the outcome. I made quite a bit of money on their wins and losses. That tells you all you need to know. How can I even get emotionally invested when I know the outcome? Something needs to be fixed.

By the way, I will be rooting for the Warriors to win the title the rest of the way. Im pretty sure they will sweep the rest of any other teams left. I hope GSW's only losses will only come from the Rockets and ex Rockets (Clippers). Just as always, I don't care after Houston is out. The season is officially over for me.

GARDENHEAD, is that man enough, lol?

That Game 1 was infact ridiculous. May not be the reason they lost the series, but if it were officiated like every other game before it and after? Hou wins going away.

I'll be rooting for a miracle and the Bucks beating the arrogant *******s in GS

Lebron leaving made the East so much more interesting. Kawhi vs Giannis is gonna be great.

And I’m thinking Kawhi stays in Toronto.

I feel for the Raptors fans. When Kawhi finally leaves at the end of the season, where will that leave their franchise? He carried them the whole way last night. Once he's gone, they'll be left looking for another option, and likely not find it. Best they can hope for is that they win it all this year before he leaves. That's not likely though.

They gave up Derozen and a protected 1st, not Lebron James, and they didn’t mortgage their future. Toronto already won that trade even if he leaves next year. They’re in the ECF and have a legit chance at the finals. And they dumped an overpriced derozen in the process. I’m seeing Kawhi uncharacteristically reveal human emotion in Toronto, I wouldn’t be surprised if he stays. I hate the raptors btw.

My point isn't the value of the trade, it's that without Kawhi they wouldn't be where they are, and if he leaves they'll be stuck back in the same place again. Without someone with elite talent, the Raptors will remain stuck in mediocrity. DeRozan wasn't the answer either. I understand the risk. But I don't know how a one-year move counts as a win. It's a play. A move. An attempt to win. But if Kawhi doesn't stay, it's not a win. As for the fans, right now they feel hope that they're contenders, but if Kawhi walks next year, it'll feel like just a mirage, a one year anomaly - not actual growth and improvement.

If Kawhi leaves theyre actually in a better place then they would have been had the raps not made the move for Leonard. They dumped Derozan in that deal. By doing so you have a clear path either way. If Kawhi stays you continue to build towards a championship. If he leaves you have to rebuild because of Lowry and Gasols age unless you can flip them in to younger, cheap better assets. If you still had Derozan youre stuck in the worst possible spot, that middle ground with an aging team with a serious long term contract that isnt good enough to be a final 4 or maybe even final 8 team.

Perhaps, but I'm not sure you couldn't have traded DeRozan for other pieces. That would seem to be a more open path.

My first point stands though, I think Raptors fans will feel disappointed if/when Kawhi leaves and their team goes back to mediocrity. All the options in the world are fine, but elite talent can't be obtained whenever.

I don’t think they could’ve gotten a better return for Derozen than Kawhi. I was shocked that pop even wanted him.

Toronto has Pascal and he’s looking like a damn stud. OG is showing promise. If Kawhi leaves, they actually have a decent core to build around. If he stays, they need one more piece and theyre contenders every year.

I feel bad for Boik, but other than that, the Knicks getting the 3rd pick is hilarious. If it's Barrett, it honestly may end up being a win at the end of the day, though. Hopefully the Grizz take Barrett, and Dolan screws it up not wanting to take a PG.

On the Heat side, I didn't expect them to move up, but I remember a lot of Heat fans and media members talking about how they shouldn't tank because they wouldn't be bad enough to get a top pick. That was a silly argument at the time, and even sillier now with the Lakers (11th worst odds) moving up to 4, and Memphis and New Orleans moving up to 2 and 1 respectively (both tied with the 7th worst odds).

At 13, I'd be looking at upside, with the possible exception of PJ Washington. Guys like Romeo Langford, Sekou Demboya, Bol Bol, Nassir Little, and Kevin Porter would be my early favorites unless someone like Reddish, Garland, or White fall.

I remember us being at 9th or 10th late in the season. The Lakers getting the 4th pick makes it feel even worse. Should’ve let wade take 30 shots a game. Oh well.

Other pieces mean long term salary you may not necessarily want. Stars win in this league. Leonard was an upgrade over Derozan. You absolutely take that shot

I don’t like any of those Lakers other than Kuzma. And I don’t want 4th pick. The Celtics can offer more picks and better prospects like Tatum and Brown. Or maybe Knicks. Even Clippers. Check out this thread:

The question is if the new GM, medical training staff, and Zion changes AD’s mind.

Absolutely do not want a PG. FFS, that’s the last position we need. We need a wing player who can create his own shot. That’s RJ or Culver. Even Reddish. You have 2 former top 10 picks on the roster who are both PG’s in Ntilikina and Smith. You knew Frank was a project...Fran Fraschilla said that draft night Frank two years away from being a year away offensively meaning he was a four year project at least. Gotta give them a chance. And Kemba and Kyrie are FA’s both with Ny ties (Kemba from the Bronx and Kyrie from North Jersey). If it’s not RJ or Culver I’d look at trading the pick for AD. Everything else in this draft is as useless as a pair of boobs on a bull for this team.

Gotta wonder what the Grizz do. They already have a HIGHLY paid PG, but he’s old as heck.

I wouldn’t be shocked if y’all traded for AD and signed KD.

My preference is to wait out AD if he’s part of the plan. But ya it does get interesting with Memphis. They could play Ja alongside Conley for a year or two, if they believe like many do that Morant is the 2nd best player in the draft. At this time last year we were looking at RJ as the prize this year. He set all kinds of records for freshman scoring in the ACC which is no small feat when you consider the players who have come thru there. It took Zion to knock him from consideration. But for my team even Jarret Culver is a better fit.

The Knicks are now my second favorite team cause I have a buddy who works in the front office. I’d love an AD trade where it makes sense for both teams.

I love AD. I want him to stay but if we can build a young team around Zion...look out!

Your buddy and the Knicks FO need my help haha. Hopefully its RJ next to KD and either Kawhi, Kyrie or Kemba.

Personally i think the LAL or Boston will make the bid when Kyrie walks (he will be a Clipper or a Knick imo) or when LaL miss our on the 2nd guy to play with Bron Bron. Or maybe Davis stays...thatll be an interesting soap opera

If Zion and Barrett go 1-2, I think they'd be making a huge mistake to pass on Morant. It wouldn't be an ideal situation, but there's a significant drop off after the top 3 IMO.

Then see if Phoenix is willing to part with Josh Jackson after his recent arrest for the right to move up to 3 and take Culver or Reddish at 6. Taking Morant would be redundant and possibly dissuade Kyrie or Kemba knowing theyll have to be a mentor of sorts to someone trying to take their job in a year or 2.

The latest rumors are that the Grizzlies aren't making it a secret that they're taking Morant, so unless they screw it up, or trade the pick, it looks like RJ will be a Knick.

Been looking at the NBA Draft prospects. Some really good players in here.

Supposing that 1-2-3 is Zion-Morant-Barrett as everyone assumes...you'd have to be pretty excited if you can get hold of (in no particular order) Cam Reddish, Coby White, Darius Garland, Jarrett Culver, Brandon Clarke, or P.J. Washington.

I think guys like Rui Hachimura, Nassir Little, Bruno Fernando, Kevin Porter, Romeo Langford, and De'Andre Hunter stand a little below that group. I may like Rui and Nassir the best among them. I think clearly De'Andre Hunter is the most polished of the five right now but he strikes me as having very average overall potential at the next level.

Either way, I don't think you want any of those six while any of the nine above are still available.

EDIT: I would revise this to say...

Out of Reach: Zion Williamson, Ja Morant, R.J. Barrett
Group 1: Coby White, Brandon Clarke, Darius Garland
Group 2: Cam Reddish, Jarrett Culver, P.J. Washington
Group 3: Nassir Little, Isaiah Roby, Rui Hachimura
Group 4: Kevin Porter, Romeo Langford, De'Andre Hunter

You’re underrating Langford imo. He’s a younger Khris Middleton with more athleticism. When I watch him that’s what I see anyway.
Porter can be interesting if he tests well and stays focused. Consistency is a part of experience I guess but he’s got a pretty good ceiling.

If I were a Heat fan, I’d be hoping for Coby White (May be the best PG in this draft...average athleticism by nba standards but upside is significant), Langford, Culver or Hunter in no order.

Wow. Cam Reddish has some legit core talents. Premium player. No wonder Zion speaks so highly of him.

Stats sucked this year really, first year out of high school.
