Figures that after nosediving after the 13 game we beat a damn good rockets team.

Not even Ryan Anderson could save the Rockets.

I know Winslow is still developing but damn is Devin Booker looking good. It gives me hope for the draft this year and not having as high of a pick as we would have before the streak.

Wouldve been a great replacement for Wade..

Honestly shocked Kris Dunn has had no impact in his rookie season so far... that kid had all the moves.. looking like randy foye now instead of wade..

Even though I was elated with him falling to us, my biggest fear when we drafted Winslow was that Booker or Turner would turn into stars. Both have been very good. I'm still holding out hope for Winslow, though.

People were making great arguments for Booker before the draft but I don't think most of us saw Winslow falling. Can't fault us at all for the pick.

Not sure if this was known - but Zach Lowe said on his podcast that Miami tried to trade for Ibaka. Said their offer was junk, so it's not like they were pushing hard - but figured it was interesting. He's a rental, so might indicate they'd move forward with this core if right opportunity presents itself.

I think of the team Orlando could of had before trading for Ibaka. That kid Sabonis is going to be a great player. Now they get rid of him...I didn't like the trade when it happened and hate it now. The team gets a straight F

Oh, absolutely. Winslow had/has Kawhi/Butler potential, and I was freaking out when he fell to us. But those two guys' potential was also exciting.

Turner is clearly the best of the three, imo. But we also have Whiteside, so it's fine. Kind of a toss-up between Justise and Booker at this point for me. I think they can both be key pieces for a contender.

Where the hell has that been for the last month? Better bring it for the 2nd half of the season. Harden can't do it by himself.

I still think Justise has a ton of potential but strictly based on what we know now we should've taken the Boston deal with the picks.

Would have so many more assets

I was very very very happy with the way our draft turned out 2 years ago and Justise somehow fell to 10, but it would be foolish to fall in love with his potential. He has shown very little growth in his game from one season to next and that is ignoring the fact that he is going to miss the majority of his second season due to injury, shelving any growth in his game for the time being. If you could grab a legitimate piece and the price is Justise, I would hope Pat does the right thing. There have been endless kids that haven't much in the league and have been lottery picks. In the case of Ibaka, Winslow and McBob wouldve been a fair swap, you cannot ignore that Ibaka is a legitimate piece. The guy a few years ago was a cornerstone of a Finals contender, he would've fit in perfectly next to Hassan and has developed a heck of a 3 point shot for a 4 guy. It is a trade i make 9 out of 10 times personally.

I would put my money on OKC. I dont think Sacramento would want to switch out a hothead for a guy with questionable work ethic in Whiteside. If we couldve turned Winslow/McBob for Ibaka and Whiteside/TJ for Boogie I would hand Riles Exec of the Decade lol

Sacramento got 5 cents on the dollar for an All-NBA player. Cannot believe Miami couldn't have made a better offer than that Pels offer. Laughable, Kings should completely clean house and sell the team lol...

Ibaka is a FA at the end of the year and Winslow still has tons of potential. That would have been a very bad trade IMO. As for him not showing growth in his game, first of all he only played 18 games, so that's not much of a sample size. But in those 18 games he was averaging 4.5 more points per game, and 2.2 more assists per game. He's also 20 years old. Jimmy Butler looked very similar on offense in his first 3 years. Not saying he'll be Jimmy Butler, but writing him off after a season and 18 games isn't a good idea.

The Nuggets got more 1st round picks for Mozgov than the Kings got for Boogie...lol

This is worse than OKC giving up Harden for scraps. I didn't think there would ever be a worse trade....Vlade proved me wrong.

I think the King are looking for the future. They get a top 3 pick in this years draft, and another first rd pick too as well as their own pick.

Rockets play Pelicans on Thursday. DVR defintely set now. Hopefully Morey can pull off this Wilson Chandler trade by tonight, so we can have him available instead of Corey Brewer.

ESPN.com has a list of trades they'd like to see. One of the deals (written by Tom Haberstroh) has Miami trading Dragic and McRoberts to Orlando for Jeff Green, CJ Watson, Mario Hezonja, Orlando's top 3 protected 1st round pick, and Sacremento's 2017 2nd rounder.

I know this is purely a hypothetical, but it's a move I'd probably make. As fun as this run has been, the most realistic best case scenario is a 1st round exit to Cleveland or Boston. And that leaves the Heat just outside of some prime draft picks (I think there is all-star potential in the top 11 and then there's a somewhat significant dropoff). Making this trade probably nets you 2 lotto picks, gets rid of McRoberts, frees up enough space to get two really good players in FA, and also gives you a young player with serious upside in Henzonja.

I love Dragic. He's already become one of my all-time Heat players to watch, but the question has to become can you build a championship contender with the roster the Heat have now and maybe an additional part like an Ibaka? I'm not sure it can. More likely, you can start building a young team that can probably get back in the playoffs in the coming years, and contend after the Cavs and Warriors finish their run.
