Damn, you guys are some sensitive mofo's.

Anyways, it's been a ghost town around here. Then again if I gotta read stuff like " Lebron hasn't had any memorable games" fresh off a game 7 for the ages....maybe that's a good thing.

You know, we both defended Melo because he really had crap around him for his entire career. But now, at least he has some offensive talent and yet it's the same ole ****.

    He is wearing me thin.

Think you're right that Jackson and Winslow are redundant. Josh is basically Justise in a taller, longer, way more athletic body...so he's obviously the (much?) better prospect (really nice potential as a finisher due to size and touch in the paint). But their roles would be the same: non-shooter, high IQ Swiss Army Knife wing, guards multiple positions extremely well, slasher, secondary initiator. Similar strengths and weaknesses with them. Not saying you can't draft him, but you'd have to move Winslow shortly thereafter imo.

I'm much higher on Fox than most. You hear scouting reports where a guy is an elite shooter or an elite rebounder, etc. But Fox has ELITE elite quickness and speed. Game-changing stuff. He gets wherever he wants to on the floor. He's also a surprisingly good finisher, explosive at the rim, nice touch. He's a better FT shooter than both Fultz and Ball, a good sign for his midrange game which already looks quite promising to me. He's improved a lot since the start of the college season, which is a key thing to look for. And yeah, he's a better defender than the other PGs (with the possible exception of Frank). Anyways, I love his game and think his ceiling is much higher than people are projecting at the moment. He and Smith are super close for me.

And Fox could legitimately fall to the bottom of the top 10, which shows you just how good this draft is. That's why I'd be looking hard to move Dragic for another lotto pick.

The more I look at this class, the more I start leaning toward Lonzo Ball as my 2nd choice behind Fultz (although this could easily change as I have gone back and forth on which of these guys I like more than others). I just can't get past the impact he's making on that UCLA team, and no matter how ugly it is, he just keeps hitting 3's. It doesn't really matter to me that he isn't taking or making 2pt jumpers. If he can get to the rim, make everyone around him better, and hit 3's, then he's going to be a star. Ideally the Heat need a scorer, but if Ball can get it to Whiteside, Winslow, Richardson, and whatever FAs they sign, it might be just as effective or more so.

Is Harden playing? If so, I doubt it. Miami is as bad as I can remember right now, especially on defense.

I can only remember Harden missing one game in 4 years...when he kicked LeBron in the nuts and got suspended. Its been pretty remarkable.

Has Winslow really showed enough to prevent us from drafting anybody?

A perfect draft to me would be fultz, and hopefully another lotto from dragic getting us markannen or Rabb.

Dragic is averaging 19 and 6 I'm sure someone wants him

I think he has. There is a lot he does well, so adding a player that does a lot of the same things is redundant. Let's also not forget he's still only 20 years old. While his offense hasn't come around, he's still a valuable player with everything else he does.

I agree with you on your perfect draft, though. Rabb would be a good fit. Adding a PG with our first pick and a big that can shoot with the pick from Dragic would be pretty ideal. Unless you are picking high enough where you can get Tatum or Monk, and in that case I think you take them regardless of need.

I guess I was wrong. Aside from the Rockets not playing well, games like this show just how good Dragic is.

Fox is shooting something like 12% from the college 3 point line. Don't see how he even becomes an average 3 point shooter in the NBA, which is a big knock to me

I don't think you need to be an average 3pt shooter to be a good player, though, especially at that position. If he can be a Rajon Rondo with a better attitude, that's a player you'd like to have on your team. And I actually think Fox can be a better scorer than Rondo because of his size and athleticism.

I told you Rose and Melo can't play together. Rose is way too ball dominant and you can't have a ball dominant pg with Melo or in anything resembling a triangle offense. And his defense, is, in the words of Walt Frazier, matador. We know Melo isn't the best defensive player but they should have known pairing rose with Melo would be a disaster. And Noah just sucks. O Quinn, Hernangomez and KP should be eating up all minutes at center unless they want to pump up Noahs value before trading him. It looks like Noah is going to be hitting the bench anyway if you listen to Hornaceks post game comments. He belongs there.

When you sub out one of the best stretch 4s (Ryan Anderson) in the nba for Corey 'I can't even make a f'n layup' Brewer....I already knew the outcome before the game. Our spacing is gone.

One of the few bad moves by Dantoni. Hell, Montezl Harrell is a better 3 point shooter than useless Brewer. Should have let him play the 4.

Sam Dekker dropped 30 in his first career start. FINALLY, Dantoni has seen the light on Corey Brewer's horrible a##. The local media and fans had enough. Brewer was a waste of space. He does absolutely nothing well.

Until Ryan Anderson gets back healthy, Dekker should see 30-plus minutes per game.

I saw that. I'm not interested in a future pick. It would take a lotto pick this year. I'd actually have some interest in Ibaka as well who they should probably trade as he'll be a FA. I wonder what else we'd have to add to get Ibaka and their 1st?

Incidentally, Dragic is really good. He's almost single-handedly taken them to a 3 game win streak. It might not be a horrible idea to keep him. Although he could really hurt the tank.

I'd still trade him. The calculus you have to make is whether he is more valuable on the team in 3 years or so when we're ready to contend or as a potential lottery pick this year

I think he's more valuable as a pick. Fact is you just have to wait Cleveland out. There is probably nothing we can do in the next year or two to vault them. By the time we might be ready to do so Dragic will be 33

You trade him as he increased his value

Well, sure, it depends on what you can get. If you can get a lotto pick, it's probably worth it. The problem is, if you have a lottery pick, you're in a similar boat to the Heat as far as looking to the future. The thing you'd have to hope for is a team in a small market that wants to add a good player immediately, but knows they won't be able to get one to come in FA. But if that team is at the end of the lottery, Dragic could potentially make them a playoff team.

Seriously, though, what the hell has gotten into the Heat? An impressive four game winning streak with some of their best players out. It's starting to look like unless we win the lotto with long odds, Fultz and Ball are out of the equation.

"Tension between LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers' leadership is centered on payroll spending, multiple sources told ESPN.

James and team owner Dan Gilbert have different viewpoints on the issue, and it has been straining the relationship, sources said. The matter has been exacerbated by the team's struggles on the court; the Cavs lost for the sixth time in eight games, 116-112 to the Sacramento Kings in overtime, on Wednesday night."

The Heat are becoming the scrappy, fun team many of us thought they would be. Except instead of some of the guys we thought would be making them fun (Winslow, Johnson, Richardson), it's been James Johnson, Dion Waiters, and Wayne Ellington. That, and Dragic has been legitimately one of the better players in the league this season. I hope he somehow ends up in the All-Star game as a replacement, because he deserves it.

Can't wait to beat the Cavs in round 1
