Seems like it might be semi-interesting, it doesn't sound like Posada likes Girardi (of course there had been rumors that the two never got along even when they were teammates) and the Yankee clubhouse is definitely different once Torre left, it seems like clubhouses are much different now then 10 years ago. He also talks about the game in 2011, where he refused to play because he was suppose to bat 9th, which for some reason he gets a free pass with the media and fans. And of course Posada touches on the Pedro/Zimmer 2003 incident.

One thing that always kind of annoyed me with Pedro's pitch to Garcia that no one ever brings up was Garcia ducked so the pitch is much closer to his head, if he stays in his stance it would have hit him in the numbers. I do wonder if Posada will address Pedro's claim that Posada started the jawing at Pedro by talking about his mother and when Pedro was pointing at his head Pedro was saying "I will remember that" and not the narrative that Pedro was going to hit Posada in the head.

Anyway I'm sure it's probably a must read if you're a Yankee fan you grew up during the glory days.

I dont have much interest in the book....Posada was kind of lunch pail kinda guy, he showed up did his job and left, much like Bernie, even Jeter....All those guys I think that is what made them pretty special he didn't really have personalities.....they were almost like robots or machines....

I mean I will read it, but not in a hurry.....

See I think Posada is a big enough jerk in real life that it would possibly make for an interesting read because there's potential that wouldn't hold back, unlike someone like Jeter, Bernie or Rivera whose books would be incredibly PC/vanilla because they're too classy and wouldn't want to cause trouble.

I can see your point, problem is he was with all those vanilla guys...

His beefs were with Girardi, which I care nothing about, I actually supported Girardi in that move....I guess if writes on Pedro maybe?

Just seems like it will be a very vanilla book hahahaha....

He talks about Pedro in the book and how he doesn't think he's a man because he threw at people's heads. Wonder if he'll say the same thing about his teammate Roger Clemens or if he talks about the Piazza stuff.

Just because he was friends and around those vanilla guys doesn't mean the book will be bad. I mean think about all the characters he was around like Arod, Sheffield, David Wells, O'Neill, Johnny Damon etc. I doubt it will be a tell all bash book but it could be interesting especially if he gets into the Yankee Torre years, much like how Torre's book was interesting.

As far as Arod, I think if he decides to ever write a tell all it would be amazing, assuming everything he writes/says isn't 99.9999% BS. Just the stuff with his "feud" with Jeter alone would be worth it. Of course if Arod ever did write bad stuff about Jeter he wouldn't be allowed back in the tri-state area for the rest of his life. But imagine him dishing dirt on Jeter, the Yankees etc. It would be gold.

This after A-Rod retires will be the only real money maker he will have left.....he is def writing a book...

Ivan Nova (elbow) said he felt good after throwing 33 pitches Tuesday in an extended spring start.
Nova will make another start next Monday, which could be the final step before going out on an official minor league rehab assignment. He's currently on track to rejoin the Yankees before the end of June. The 28-year-old struggled prior to Tommy John surgery last year, but he had a 3.10 ERA and 116/44 K/BB ratio over 139 1/3 innings in 2013.

Betting the "Run scored in the first inning" has been a money maker this season for the Yankees.

I love Justin Masteron and Shane Victorino but I think it's time to cut the cord on both of them.

He's throwing mid to upper 80s with his fastball, not striking anyone out and walking guys left and right. He's either hurt or done as a SPer.

Yes everyone is starting off slow but Masterson hasn't been good in a year and a half and is on a 1 year deal, Sox shouldn't and can't afford to wait around and see if he can turn it around.

I'm sure the offense will turn it around, because assuming everyone is healthy there's no reason they won't, too much talent. Even the SPers have had some bad luck and their advanced numbers suggest they haven't pitched as badly as their normal numbers say but it's starting to get late early (Happy Birthday Yogi).

I say this every year, because it's true, but especially this year with all 5 teams kind of eh, the winner of the AL East is probably going to come down to which team stays the healthiest/has the most depth.

The trade deadline should be super interesting and fun this year. Still think with the addition of the two WC spots that MLB should move it back to middle/end of August and get rid of the August 31st waiver process.

My Cubbies were, before yesterday's game, 6 games over .500 for the first time since the final day of the 2009 season. It's been a long time coming, but the rebuild is paying off hugely, and man, is the arrow heading up. 4th best record in the NL nearing the 1/4 mark of the season. Not bad for a transition year, where some of our best talent is still on the farm and three of our most important position starters are rookies.
