30K in tournament chips. You can't cash them out it's an elimination tournament. $10k buy in is for reals. And about 5 minutes of work for PP
I'll always remember watching Antoine Walker piss away 15 grand in an hour playing 10/20 NL at Bellagio. He always though the nerdy white guys were trying to bluff him, so he would call of river bets of 2-3k with garbage.
Sec do you know if Lebron plays? They always talk about how he remembers every basketball play ever and he makes the high percentage play at all times no matter the situation. Two very desirable traits at the table
I miss online poker.. :sadpanda: you guys playing online anywhere? not to derail this glorious thread or anything...
Bovada is a solid site IMO, I've cashed 4 out of 9 Sunday 100ks...payouts have been very fast. Of course I still have problems beating their cash games.
I get killed on the cash games too. I've had some decent hits on the nightly 21:00 $35K guaranteed. Yeah cash out wasn't bad on Bovada. More referring to Carbon Poker which took me over a month. Both come on those stupid Canadian checks.
A former software programmer said on YouTube that while it's not programmed to cheat per say, it encourages "action" in short coolers happen quite often. Ofcourse you can always be on the right side of that I guess.
Bunch of degenerates on this thread. Appalling. Now if you will excuse me, I have to go fetch my pants out of the toilet from last night...
Gentleman, don't we have a gambling thread in the Lounge or something? I know there is a lull in signings but let's try to bring this thread back to basketball. Thanks.
I also got that hot chick to yell at me a bunch and you got to tour Wrigley Field while I snapped a few photos. Fun trip.
What? Hes right. There is a poker or a gambling thread in the lounge. If you were talking about basketball it would be at least somewhat related.
We all see big threads get off topic for a handfull of posts, I agree he is right but to me it's like going 67 in a 65. Anyways, if Bron goes back to Cleveland how many wins do you predict for Clev and Miami?? I'll go 59 Cavs, 36 Heat.
Just catching up on the first Heat summer league game and you know who is impressing the hell out of me, of all come out of nowhere guys? Danilo Barthel. Kind of floored by how much he hustles for a big 6'10" type, how quick and balanced he is. Good hands too. Of course James Ennis looks spectacular. All eyes will be on Shabazz Napier but the best Heat player there is probably Ennis, and maybe followed by Justin Hamilton who has been very good. But I'd keep an eye on this euro guy Danilo Barthel. Damn impressive.
Yeah. I thought the same thing. As soon as he got in the game he made an impact all over the floor. I doubt they'll take a third rookie on the team, but I would be interested to see him get a chance to develop.
Depends. Do the Heat retain Bosh? Do they add someone to replace Lebron, or at least some of his production? Too many variables. I agree all big threads stray some, but the good ones stay on topic.
Was actually disappointed in Hamilton as the second game went on. He came out strong with 6 early rebounds but was out battled in traffic every time after that and looked clumsy on the boards.
Probably the biggest problem with Danilo Barthel is he lacks confidence to do anything offensively if he's not close in on the basket, which may be a big problem if he's a 6'10" and 220 lbs type. On defense he clearly can't handle a Kelly Olynyk type who outguns him physically. Barthel strikes me as a good pick and roll defender, active on the boards, hustles up and down the court admirably, but if you can't do anything with the ball on offense in space and you're not a big strong guy like Birdman or even Joel Anthony...then where do you fit? Now on the other hand if I'm mistaken and he's a good shooter, he could work out. He was 34 of 102 (0.333) from three in Europe. Really the star of the show for the first game was James Ennis. And he was definitely the star of the show in the second game. Is anyone else reminded of Kevin Durant when you watch him play? Playing in Perth was definitely good for him offensively as everything was fast paced and there wasn't much defense so he evolved into a great pure scorer. He's freaking 9 of 10 from three and he created a fair number of those three point shots himself. That includes a ludicrous shot when they were trying to come back against the Celtics. He tried to take over that game in the final minutes to bring them back and damn near did it. The help wasn't there for him. He's so close to being good enough finishing in the paint and he's developed a pretty consistent shot. He can rebound the ball. The two things he's still shaky with are passing and defense. I think Hamilton is a pretty consistent guy. His rebounding isn't as good as his size and athletic ability would dictate. His shot is a big plus. He's a good enough ball handler. He seems smart. He gives good effort. I think you could potentially count on him if he held a roster spot. Shabazz Napier really tested the limits of "bad" in the first three quarters of that first game. I mean if there was a way of sucking, he found it, and damn near invented a few new ways of sucking. Terrible first day. Glad to see he rebounded in the second game. Only other guy that came really even close to catching my attention was Larry Drew.
Well, it's certainly looking like the Bosh to Houston rumors were nonsense (shocking, I know). This would also seem to indicate Bosh feels LeBron is staying in Miami which goes against what Broussard said about Bosh feeling like LeBron won't go back to Miami after a lunch meeting (again, shocking).
I pick them based on who is usually most accurate. Why would Bosh want toplay in Houston with a guy who plays no defense and a primadona when he could stay in miami.
Broussard has a pretty good track record, including being one of the first to break Bron to Heat in 2010. Now? Because he's reporting things you guys don't want to hear, he sucks and is unreliable. Also if LeBron bolts, Houston is a MUCH better option.
Don't know why people think Houston has a chance. Until Harden has a change of heart and realizes defense counts too, they have no chance to go anywhere. Not to mention a stretch forward doesn't do much good on a selfish team. Also disagree Houston would be a better option. You have no idea what we would do with the cap room. Also also, Lebron will be back in Miami. Is there a place I can put money on this? Its an easy win.
No. Doesn't gamble. Chris Bosh does though. Heat Plane poker games consist of Haslem, Bosh, Rio and James Jones
