Just finished my workup on Winslow for Sportsbang.

    You guys get a preview:
    GP 39 MPG 29.1 PPG 12.6 RPG 6.5 APG 2.1 SPG 1.3 FG 48.6% 3PT 41.8% (46-110)
Advanced: 22.3 PER, +22.4 Efficiency Differential vs. Opponents.

    - In NCAA Tournament, Winslow averaged 14.3 points and 9.3 rebounds. He shot 51 percent from the field and
    57 percent from 3-point range.
    - Opponents Shot 28% vs. Winslow in Pick and Roll Situations. (#1 among qualifying G/F in NCAA)

    - Jay Bilas: “In the preseason… Krzyzewski told me that Winslow was Dwyane Wade,” Bilas said. “That
floored me, because Coach K is not an exaggerator with regard to players.”

So does this mean that Wade's expendable? Or is he Deng's replacement and/or our new starting SF?

Thats what Im seeing. Hes got to add weight but what a sweet J and hes got back to the basket skills. Hes a GREAT fit for the Triangle offense.

Add in the Tim Hardaway Jr for Jerian Grant deal and Im like a baby with their favorite toy right now. Added a strong PG who will step in and play strong on D and create plays for others which will give Porzingas some time.

I dont see the Wade comparison at all.

I stand by that. Ya'll got a really nice player who I was and still am very high on. Im not disappointed by Porzingas but I am surprised Phil took such a project at 4. Hes a tremendous talent but hes going to take 18months to 2 years. Even Gallinari took some time to really start playing well.

I like Upshaw or Connaughton at 40.

    One should be there

    Anthony Brown another strong option

Yes it is. Hardaway did not fit the triangle and takes a TON of bad shots. Neither myself or any other Knick fan I know thought we were getting a 1st for him.

I like Winslow a lot but I see Kawhi Leonard/Scottie Pippen much more so then Wade. Also love him as a 2 guard because frankly there are none besides Harden, Wade, and 3-4 others. Its a really bad position right now on most teams and a way to take advantage of a positional mismatch.

Ideally, he is a 20 MPG 6th man next year as Deng opts back in, and likely the starter next year at SF, and eventually Wade's replacement in 3 years.

Riley, very often likes to Back deal his 2nd round picks to accumulate in one single year as trade assets.

Having said that, unless they have a player they really like there at #40, I would expect a trade.

I think Cliff Alexander PF (Kansas) is a possibility

Heat Take Josh Richardson SG (Tennessee)

    - Long athletic type. Slasher scorer, but above all, a lockdown defender with a big wingspan.

35.3% from three on a much improved shot.

Another three and D guy. I like it. I think Cliff Alexander is being overlooked. Guy was a top 10 recruit, and one year later, he is undrafted FA trash? Nah...take a chance Pat. Could be the next Udonis Haslem.

Makes more sense. Thought Sixers would field a starting lineup of 5 7-footers in their new tanking experiment.

Eh Josh Richardson isnt a guy I expect will make the team next year. Though if his competition is to beat Tyler then i guess there is a chance. Hes a whole lot more athletic than Tyler.

Someone forgot to tell the Sixers that positionless basketball doesn't mean everyone plays the same spot.

Knicks actually gave up 2 future 2's for Hernangomez....my guess is its the 2 they got for Prigioni from Houston.

    Liking this more and more....

Apparently the #4 international draft prospect according to CBS Sports.

Mason Plumlee going to Portland for pick 23 Rondae Hollis Jefferson

well in all fairness he was 16-17 at that time.. kids say dumb ****... The Lakers drafted Larry Nance Jr and trust me what he said about Kobe will definitely be addressed privately.

"Gee I sure hope Kobe can keep his hands to himself in Denver this time.. #rapist"

Larry Nance Jr made that tweet 3 years ago... now the "rapist" is his captain.

Did I dream that last night or did the teams in front of us have a collective brain fart and forget to draft Winslow?

I know it is still early but what does last night mean for Goran Dragic's market?

Boston Celtics drafted Rozier and RJ Hunter.
    Lakers drafted Russell.
    Knicks drafted Grant.
Sacramento is zeroing in on Rondo.

I guess the Knicks could still offer a max contract but Dragic's market took a gigantic hit yesterday, right?

The Lakers drafting Russell hurts Wade's potential leverage as well.

Although, given the way Riley spoke about Wade, I think they want to make it right with him, and I imagine they'll be able to bridge whatever the gap is.

Riley acknowledged that wade had sacrificed more than anyone for the sake of winning; that he is the "pillar" of this franchise, and that he is going to be their first phone call at midnight July 1.

If Wade was feeling disrespected, that message was heard and is being corrected.

They need to work this out. We have a chance to be too good next year. Winslow can help extend Wade's career.

Thats the big one right there.

I've seen some say Wade will take that pick as a slight against him or something, but if anything I think it HELPS. That'd be like having an aging WR and drafting a young stud to get the double teams off of you. It will only help Wade short term, and the HEAT long term imo. Great pick!

I'm just glad I don't have to start looking at Kelly Oubre videos today to try and find reasons to like him.

****ing Justise Winslow, wow. Booker still tempts me but my goodness. Justise is just too good of a player period. Maybe the best part about him is that attitude. Dude is ****ing FIERCE out there.
